FlaEE Report post Posted November 23, 2013 On the trip home from work the 2013 Fusion Hybrid (with 11k miles) popped up a check manual warning (when acknowledged a small illuminated yellow wrench is visible in the left display). After a relatively short while, this was followed by a motor coolant (for the hybrid electronics) over temperature warning (a small red thermometer left showing in the left display). I noticed that the AC system had also stopped cooling. Outside temperature was in the low 70s. Any similar experiences/ thoughts? A few more details...Can't hear compressor start after commanding a remote start. No OBDII codes set. Will take for warranty service ASAP. Very disappointed. acdii Report post Posted November 25, 2013 Sounds like you may have had a coolant pump fail. If you have the wrench light, there are codes, but they might not show up without the master computer connected. The AC compressor may be disabled by the system to prevent further damage. FlaEE Report post Posted November 27, 2013 Believe it or not...while parked at my workplace, a squirrel chewed through a small wiring harness running along the bottom of the radiator which connects to both the AC compressor and motor coolant circulating pump. Replaced harness (approx $30 parts cost) and all is well. Confidence restored. 5 MD_Fusion_Lover, acdii, hybridbear and 2 others reacted to this
