Greg D Isringhaus Report post Posted October 22, 2013 Ok, I am just wanting to know how long it took others to get their VIN? I ordered the car Saturday 10/19 and was told about 4 weeks. I just want to ease my mind a little. My Capital One Blank Check expires Dec 1st, and I absolutely must have a VIN by then.. Toz Report post Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) When I ordered my first HyTi Feb 2nd 13 it took me over 8 weeks to get my VIN. Just re-ordered on the 21st of Oct. Hoping for faster results this time. Watching the boards, I have seen any number of people get their VIN's in two to four weeks. I am going to wait on any of my finacing until the car is built and in transit. That should give me two to four weeks until it's at the dealer lot. timf Report post Posted October 22, 2013 It largely depends on how much allocation your dealer has and how many orders are ahead of yours. Orders are scheduled every Thursday, so if you check with your dealer Thursday afternoon or Friday they should be able to tell you if there is a VIN yet or not. EWoodruff Report post Posted October 24, 2013 I ordered my SE hybrid in July and it was built about 4 1/2 weeks later so I probably could have gotten the VIN # then. I didn't check on it till the 8 week mark. It was scheduled for delivery in the 9th week but then slipped by two weeks so waiting for delivery was definitely the slowest part of the process. Although I highly doubt they will have a VIN, but they may need a push. If I don't get a VIN by Dec 1st, I lose out on my car possibly and I don't want that to happen. I would have waited on financing, but I was taken by surprised to get approved and get a super low APR.
