Article about Ford's attempts to reduce hybrid costs

Recommended Posts

Looks like it was written by a third grader. Yeesh don't they spell check? They also overlooked the difference of technology in the battery. Why the change in the number of cells, because they went from a heavier lower voltage cell, to a lighter higher voltage cell that delivers comparable energy at a reduced cost and weight. That is a three fold savings. Reduced pack weight means lower shipping costs per unit, smaller pack size means a better designed car, and the reduced weight adds up to better fuel efficiency. Those three items right there help reduce the cost of the hybrid.

Shoot maybe i should write that article for them. :)
