Sleddog Report post Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) It's just unbelievable how some people are just so willing to complain to the government about "issues" that could be easily solved just by reading the manual: Crash:NoFire:NoNumber of Injuries:0Number of Deaths:0Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company Vehicle Identification No. (VIN): 3FA6P0SU7DR... SUMMARY: 1. LANE KEEPING DEPARTURE SYSTEM PRESENTS A DANGER TO CYCLISTS & PEDESTRIANS. NOW THAT I AM AWARE, I TURN THE SYSTEM OFF; HOWEVER, THE STEERING WHEEL PUTS UP A GOOD FIGHT WHEN I TRIED TO PROVIDE THE CYCLISTS ROOM--AN UNNECESSARY ISSUE THAT COULD OF CAUSED SERIOUS BODILY HARM OR DEATH. 2. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT GET THE MPG AS PROMISED ON THE STICKER: A GREAT DEAL OF UNNECESSARY MONEY WAS LOST. 3. THE ELECTRICAL A/C UNIT NO LONGER GENERATES COLD AIR, BUT THE FAN STILL RUNS. I'm just so amazed that they turned off the assist feature. And they still think that it's an issue and needs to be addressed. It would also appear they need strength training. As for the last one, wanna bet they have auto climate control and the temperature is set too high. _____________________________________________________________________ This one just made me laugh... Crash:NoFire:NoNumber of Injuries:1Number of Deaths:0Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company Vehicle Identification No. (VIN): 3FA6P0G72DR... SUMMARY: TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE METALLIC TRIM IN THE INTERIOR CAUSED AN EXTREME GLARE, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD EVEN WHEN WEARING SUNGLASSES. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT HE SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE EYES AFTER BEING SUBJECTED TO THE BRIGHT REFLECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,578. Seriously?!?! So now it appears driving a Fusion will make you blind.______________________________________________________________________ I guess this next one goes with the first one. Read the manual. They probably have speed sensing wipers and did not know you have 2 additional speeds. I have no issues with the speed sensing wipers, even with the heavy Florida rains. Crash:NoFire:NoNumber of Injuries:0Number of Deaths:0Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company Vehicle Identification No. (VIN): 3FA6P0HR3DR... SUMMARY: IT BEGAN RAINING HARD AND THE WIPERS WERE ON HIGH SPEED, BUT WHEN THEY MOVED OUTWARD I COULD NOT SEE BECAUSE WATER WAS BLINDING ME, HAD TO SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 40MPH JUST TO AVOID RUNNING OFF ROAD OR INTO A CAR. COULD NOT SEE OUT WINDSHIELD AT ALL. I HAVE NEVER HAD WIPERS LIKE THESE, AND I DONT FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR IN RAIN. GOING TO SEE IF FORD CAN CHANGE INTERMITTENT WIPERS OUT TO WHAT MOST CARS HAVE. IF NOT THEN WE MAY HAVE TO GET RID OF THIS CAR. DRIVING BLIND IS WHAT IT'S LIKE DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN. corncobs Report post Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) People are stupid. Reminds me again of that guy that thought cruise control = auto pilot turned it on and went into the rear of his RV kitchen to make coffee. thavil Report post Posted September 25, 2013 Some things that people complain about really makes you scratch your head. The only one that I will sort of defend is number 3. My FFH has the slowest wipers I have ever had in any car that I have owned. I don't have rain sensing and in a hard rain, high speed isn't fast enough. I'm not a fan of RainX but I use it on this car.
djminfll Report post Posted September 26, 2013 I can't believe someone would actually complain that they have to slow down in the rain! DUH! And did someone really claim an eye injury from the glare?Where do these people come from? 1 corncobs reacted to this
