Maybe they can't advertise really hard since they can't meet demand anyway. Now with FRA online we might see more advertising and better numbers next month.

Considering Toyota can crank out 450K Camry a year, and Ford can only do maybe 300K, and has had an under 30 day stock, they are doing fairly well. Saw a news report last night, the Fusions are selling one every 2 minutes, Camry one every minute, but the Ford F150 is selling one every 45 seconds.

 

 

Also keep in mind, some people would rather have a plain jane run of the mill Camry because they consider it more reliable than a Fusion. Thanks to MFT that perception still ranks pretty high.

Hopefully FRAP will allow Ford to increase their sales numbers and at least solidly take over 3rd place. I think their upper limit with FRAP was around 400k/yr IIRC from a Ford press release.
