Same trip Before and After update

Recommended Posts

The day i bought my new car i had to drive it from virginia to new jersey. When i was there i got the update installed on my car then a few days later i made the same trip, but backwards from new jersey to virginia.. Here is what i got.

(trip from VA to NJ before update. as you can see i had no idea where to pull up the trip summary, never thought to think it would prob pop up at the end, till i went out the next day)

(trip from NJ to Va after update.)

i used the adaptive cruise control set at the same both ways, the only thing i would do is when i noticed it would not kick into ev mode when it should, i would lower it a mph and let it kick on then put it back up.

Yes my first hybrid.. I really only learned how to drive it on here. So while driving i just incorporated everything i read before i had actually gotten the car delivered.

even though it is exactly the same trip....I wonder if the altitude profile could make a difference...... for example.....the trip from cheyenne to laramie wyoming.....

from cheyenne to laramie is a steady gradual climb.....then a sudden drop off into laramie. And of course going back you have a few miles of a hard climb...but then down hill mostly for the next hour....... I know not as dramatic in your part of the country....but a change in 150' elevation seems to make a big difference in my daily commute over a 6 mile trek. one way is 40 mpg...the other 50 to 60 mpg
