NewHiTi21 Report post Posted August 22, 2013 Just had my hyti in for its 5k mile service. They fix my clicking noise and turned on the DRL's at no charge. In other news my trunk falls down whenever the car is on an incline. Anyone else having this issue? They said they could order some stiffer tortion bars that would fix it. No big deal I guess but another trip to the dealer.

No big deal I guess but another trip to the dealer. Many cars that have the spoiler were built with the torsion bars for a car that does not have a spoiler. There was a TSB issued to cover this problem. I had it installed on my car and it does fix the problem. When the trunk is opened it should raise to the half way point by itself.
hybridbear Report post Posted August 22, 2013 They turned on the DRL's at no charge.Do you know how they did this? Many dealers are claiming that it isn't an option and it would be nice to be able to go to them with the specific details of how to do it. 1 47Minutes reacted to this

hermans Report post Posted August 22, 2013 Do you know how they did this? Many dealers are claiming that it isn't an option and it would be nice to be able to go to them with the specific details of how to do it.It is turned on through their computer program. Many don't want to do it or are lazy so they just lie and say it isn't an option. My dealer offered to turn on the DRL's on both my car, but I declined. corncobs Report post Posted August 23, 2013 You are assuming they know how to crack open a book, right? :)Reminds me of Wall-e and the captain commanding to the old fashion hardcover book "open". LOL
NewHiTi21 Report post Posted August 23, 2013 which lights do they use for the DRL'sIt is the low beam lights. I think they are on at half power. They are off when in park and turn on when you go into drive. It does not matter what position the headlight switch is in. The power demand seem very small the power bar does not move when they turn on and off.
hybridbear Report post Posted August 24, 2013 They open up the shop manual and follow the instructions...Obviously. The problem is that most dealers claim they either don't know how or that it isn't an option. If someone were able to find out the process the dealer needs to turn on the DRLs then users could bring those instructions printed out to refute claims from dealers that they can't do it. SpeedFace Report post Posted August 24, 2013 Am hoping to get DRL enabled on my FFH. Really got used to having them on my Cavalier and while I often reach over and go with full lights at any time of day, having the DRL pop on when in drive is nice for when I forget. hybridbear Report post Posted August 25, 2013 Maybe they just don't want to do it.Your comment is in no way productive. Why don't you find something productive to say?
hermans Report post Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) So you don't think it's true? So you don't think my comment was productive. From your statement only positive comments are allowed. I see how it is now. New Moderator flexing his wings...... Sieg Heil - Sieg Heil. It's an honor to be the first person banned for not having something positive to say. Eat it Clown. New Moderator flexing his wings...... Sieg Heil - Sieg Heil. It's an honor to be the first person banned for not having something positive to say. Eat it Clown. If the dealer doesn't want to do it then they should say that instead of lying to a customer. The whole reason why I'd like to know what the process is for them to turn on DRLs is to force them to either turn them on or stop lying to me and tell me that they don't want to. Positive and productive are NOT equal. It's possible to be positive but not productive and productive but not positive. My comment was about being productive, nothing to do with being positive. 1 keithsm2 reacted to this
