Anything to keep in mind if the car is not going to be driven for more than a month?

I am going to be overseas and I won't be able to use my car for about 6 weeks. Should that be ok?

I have the option to have it moved from time to time by somebody but I wonder if that is really needed.

In my experience with my old 2003 Jetta, if I didn't drive my car for a month, the engine started shaking for a while until it got warmed up. I even had the engine light on a couple of times.

I never had any problems with the battery getting discharged though.

At a minimum disconnect the 12 volt battery.

Agreed on disconnecting the battery. Better to have the car relearn things than to have a dead battery and have the car relearn things.

Put it on a trickle charge. and keep your info/settings.

Plus one on a trickle charger, I use one of these, works a treat.

Cool idea! Do have one and/or have you tried it? It sounds a little odd that you would be able to charge thru the 12V OUTLET!?

No, I just thought if it as I posted above. Since the 12v outlets are relay controlled and shut off, the best way would be to have it directly connected to the terminals posted in the pic above. I have a solar fence charger though, works pretty good. Will knock you on your ass even after 10 years in service.
