acdii Report post Posted August 30, 2013 Just trying to cause road rage aren't you? ;-)Actually I was doing almost 10 over, I was pacing the traffic and lights prior to this, which most people ignore. This is how I was able to get ahead of them all. They have to stop and then get back up to speed. I just had to give it a goose of throttle and I was back up to speed. This is why I LOL so hard. The guy I went around, happened to stay in front of them all, and he was driving the speed limit, so he was the one they were all pissed at. :) Still managed a nice 48 MPG that day. 1 corncobs reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted August 30, 2013 In Maine the state patrol have Mustangs??!? Where do they put ppl when they arrest them? Lol we're seeing more an more Dodge Chargers here replacing the old Crown Vics and more and more of the new Taurus police cars. The Taurus Police Interceptors look at lot like the FFH from certain angles, especially the angles of the headlights.Actually not just in Maine. On our way back from Atlanta we saw at least two Police Mustangs and one Camero.I actually asked the question where people sit when arrested for the Taurus as well since there isn't much room on the back seat. One of my neighbors is a CL police officer and he came by with a brand new Interceptor last year during our block party just saying before questions arise. ;-)
MaineFusion Report post Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) In Maine the state patrol have Mustangs??!? Where do they put ppl when they arrest them? Lol we're seeing more an more Dodge Chargers here replacing the old Crown Vics and more and more of the new Taurus police cars. The Taurus Police Interceptors look at lot like the FFH from certain angles, especially the angles of the headlights. They have several different makes and models of interceptors including the Taurus mentioned above and Dodge Chargers. For some reason they seem to like the color silver. With the loss of the Crown Victoria, they seem to be trying all types of models. In a way, this makes more sense if you are trying to blend in to catch the really aggressive speeders. I suppose if they have to arrest someone while driving a Mustang they just call in backup who can fit passengers. Besides these are officers dedicated to traffic enforcement on the turnpike, they probably don't make all that many arrests. hybridbear Report post Posted September 7, 2013 NYPD Traffic enforcement went a different wayThat is too cool! Any news articles that anyone has seen about it? I could only find press releases about NYPD buying 2010 FFHs back years ago.
corncobs Report post Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) I don't know if it was a bad day of driving because its Friday or we had new moon last night but man I had some crazy stuff happening happening today. I usually don't drive to the office on Fridays and I normally don't see that many stupid drivers especially ladies in Japanese cars like today. One went "along side" me for almost 20 miles switching lanes, tailgating and it all started when she flashed me after I switched lanes in front of her because of a slow truck. Funny thing was that I still ended up on the freeway way ahead of her that was too funny. Later on the interstate I almost got rear ended by some idiot squeezing himself between me and the car in the left lane; it was really close. On my way home I had another lady again in a Japanese car that passed me on the right just to come back to the left and hit the brakes because of traffic ahead that one pissed me really off. MaineFusion Report post Posted September 7, 2013 I'm so glad I don't live in a metropolitan area. For the most part drivers are more courteous when driving isn't daily battle on over crowded roads. Sure we get the occasional rude driver, but it isn't uncommon for local drivers to yield a little to let cars enter primary roads from side roads when traffic is heavy. acdii Report post Posted September 7, 2013 It was Friday, thats normal traffic. Rush Rush Rush. I got passed by a moron in a van that had the company name and phone number on it. I was doing over 60. I was so tempted to call the number and say, you know if you drive something with a phone number on it, you really shouldn't be an ass. This joker was way ahead of me, I was driving my Flex so I was doing at least 60 the whole way. Guess who was sitting at the light as I slowed down just as it turned green. :hysterical: Guess he doesnt drive 14 much, I got that road timed perfectly. 2 corncobs and MaineFusion reacted to this
