How Does One Disassemble the Console?

Previously posted in the Energi forum but I only got one reply that didn't help.

 

Does anyone know the steps to disassemble the top of the center console around the shifter?

It appears to snap together similar to how a TV remote control snaps together.
I've had poor luck opening TV remote controls without breaking at least one of the tabs.

If I could lift the plastic piece that supports the cup holders that would be ideal.

I am aware of the instruction in the Owners Manual to manually release the shifter from park.

It says to remove the right side panel but gives no clue HOW to remove the right side panel.

I have a pic in my gallery that shows and explains how to take it apart.
It's relatively simple and I have yet to break a clip after taking it apart at least a dozen times.

I guess I was too timid with a new car.

Both sides were easily removed and my hands are not bleeding.

Click the video and it will show you how to disassemble the whole center console from the shifter up. The rest must be similar.
