When you look at my my cars....the MPG on my dashboard does not match the MPG if you go to the Individual cars MPG.....ie...one place shows my over all 35 MPG for the fusion....and the other is 35.2 .....both are supposed to be overall mileage...... I know those number look bad....but 90 percent of my miles have been highway at over 75 MPH :(

I can get around 44 MPG to and from work......38 one way and over 50 the other usually :)

There is leeway built into the dash computer. up to 10% variance is normal. The dash and actual rarely match up, so .2 difference is actually pretty good.

no...sorry....maybe i wasnt clear....i am talking just about the mileage on fuelly...... ya know when you sign on it shows all your cars and their avg MPG......then you click on the car and inside there it again shows the MPG and all the details.........well those two avg MPG are different.....

The one on the first screen is a running average.

The one on the car screen is a lifetime average.

ok...another fuelly question..

the site has the option to "Hide" a vehicle you are are not using anymore.....( i did a rental car last year ) Now that i have hidden it......how do i get back to it to look at it??

You dont, at least not that I found. Hiding it means you can no longer add to it, but the stats remain in the global database. Deleting the car removes it from everything.

You can still get to it if you know the name of what the car was and thus the URL. I declared my 2010 as 'retired' back in January but can still see the stats if I go straight to the URL - http://www.fuelly.com/driver/jeffh/fusion
