Dolfdude Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Hello everyone, I pre ordered my 2014 Fusion Hybrid Titanium a month ago preferring over SE trim b'coz of few distinctive features & options such asDual Integrated Exhaust,Sony Audio,Remote start,Push button start/stop etc.I saw a 2013 hybrid titanium last week & noticed NO Dual exhaust on those. Its kinda disappointing to have it on non hybrid fusion titanium trims & not on Hybrids. Also NO wheel options on Hybrid Titanium. Its weird the lower trim models like SE has the options to choose or upgrade the wheels but not the higher trim Hybrid Titanium. Really hope & wish they would include in 2014 hybrid titanium models. ThanksFord Owner
Toz Report post Posted June 23, 2013 well so far the Dual Integrated Exhaust is still in the order guide for the 14s. I just wish that some of the other cool goodies were not "late availability" I am waiting on the heated steering wheel and the cooled seat option because it comes with the 10 way power passenger seat. I probably will not get my car until spring of 14.

ThanksFord Owner The Titanium comes standard with 18in wheels, the SE has the option to upgrade to 18in wheels. 19in wheels are not available on the hybrid likely for legitimate reasons, most likely because they would impact the fuel economy numbers of all hybrids. The way the EPA numbers work is that they are a complicated combination of all the options available. It's likely that if 19in wheels were available, it would bring the EPA rating down on all Fusion hybrids. I'm not sure why you would want a dual exhaust on a hybrid either. It would likely add a lot of weight and probably reduce performance. Also note the remote start/push button start will be an option on the SE in 2014. Dolfdude Report post Posted June 26, 2013 It doesn't look like Ford is going to give dual integrated exhaust, HID Headlights, Wheel (rim) options in 2014 FFH Titanium model either. Found this article on media.ford.com Look under tech Specs. http://media.ford.com/press_kits.cfm?presskit_id=2199 http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2014_FusionHybrid_Specs.pdf I was really hoping to get those features in 2014 model.. that would give it a premium look over the other base models. No biggie. The 2 MPG EPA rating difference between the Fusion and the MKZ (47 vs 45) is due to the fact the MKZ wears standard Michelin tires vs the Fusions low rolling resistance tires (according to Ford). The dual exhaust is not a true dual, in that it just has a slightly larger transverse muffler with two exit pipes, therefore it won't weigh much more than the non-dual. I like the duals cuz they look cool. :victory:

Waldo Report post Posted June 27, 2013 The MKZ is tested by the EPA at a higher weight class, that's why it has a different rating. EPA rules say that if you have the exact same powertrain and fit in the same weight class, you can get the same EPA rating. That's why the C-max and Fusion have the same rating. They don't actually both get 47/47/47 in the EPA test, the rules just let Ford claim they are the same. 1 acdii reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted June 27, 2013 Yep the drag is higher on the Cmax, and that is why it gets lower than listed. Goofy but thats the government for you.
TX NRG Report post Posted June 29, 2013 Really? the 14 model is getting LED headlights? Maybe. The equivalent 2013 overview sheet did not have LED listed in front of headlamps. 2013--Technical graphics: Fusion’s functional design elements such as headlamps, LED taillamps and polished exhaust tips communicate enhanced technological capability

Dolfdude Report post Posted July 18, 2013 The info on 2014 Fusion is out on ford.com but the new colors Dark side & Sunset pics on the website are not very revealing. I asked with the ford rep via chat, they informed me that the Sunset is like Burnt orange which is very dark orange & Dark side is almost black with hint of very dark green. I contacted my dealer he told me that Dark side is almost black with hint of very very dark grey ... I'm confused as to where to get the right info from ? I've already put in the order for 2014 fusion HyTi in Sterling Gray Metallic color & was seriously considering to change the order to Dark side. Any info/Pics would be greatly appreciated. ThanksFord Fusion HyTi Owner.
jeff_h Report post Posted July 18, 2013 For the Sunset and Dark Side, look at the web site of one or more of your local dealer sites that shows actual pics of their inventory -- you won't see a Fusion there yet in this color, but I think either Explorer or Escape (or both) may have 2014s on dealer lots and I think one (or both) come in those colors. Somewhere on the BOF site I saw an actual pic of one in Sunset, I think it was an Explorer but not sure. Hopefully that will give you a more accurate depiction of the color than on the Ford B&P site. acdii Report post Posted July 18, 2013 I wonder if Dark Side will be anything like the Atlantis Green that my 10 had. It was mistaken for black or dark grey many times. The dealer had the car in their shop many times for iol changes and never really noticed it was green until I traded it in. It wasnt until it got smashed and repaired that they found out it was actually green. I saw the car the other day on the lot, and it no longer has the glow it had when I traded it in since it was repaired. Swirls marks baby, SWIRLS! I thought the hood and fender on my flex had swirls, but this was BAD when I can see them for 30 feet away.

jeff_h Report post Posted July 18, 2013 Here's a PDF that shows the two colors, for those who have not seen them yet, may be useful to compare to the B&P site and see how close they look. http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2014_Fusion.pdf

It'll be same on 2014 Fusion, Taurus & Explorer. It is almost black ( you won't be able to tell the difference unless you see it real close) with a hint of green. Attached are few pictures .. Hope this helps for folks seeing this info.
