coach81 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Yeah.. been busy.. coaching, training, family.. doin' other stuff.. so here is my latest update: 1. Overall avg MPG is about 46 maybe a bit higher.. this is hand calculated not computer, computer reads 44.7 as of this morning. Took the wife to Biloxi for our anniversary a few months ago... drove 75+ most of the way using eco cruise.. that tank still averaged 46 MPG!!!!2. Love, Love, LOVE the vehicle... Ride, Style, Tech.. and of course Fuel Savings... I'm putting gas in about every 6 - 8 weeks now, and the cost is about $38-$40!!! I used to spend $45 every week and a half!!!3. I'm still washing, waxing, and babying her every chance I get, and I still cringe every time the wife asks to drive her...4. I still get compliments on her every where I go....5. I'm getting better with all the sync and navi tricks and whatnot.. but still have much to learn... Sorry I haven't been around as much.. I'll try to check in a bit more from time to time.. I hope all of you are doing well and are loving your vehicles as much as I am... jeff_h Report post Posted June 21, 2013 drove 75+ most of the way using eco cruise.. Nice to see you're still out there! However I wonder what benefit there might be to using 'eco cruise' at 75+, I suppose maybe a little but it still sounds odd. 1 coach81 reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Awesome! Hi Coach long time, glad you are still in love with the car and I know what you mean about the cringing! :) Although my wife is getting better with it with my "coaching". LOL She got 45.1 today following me to drop off the Flex, and she was bouncing afterwards. :) 1 coach81 reacted to this

kuzzi Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Eco cruise at 75 may save the ICE about 2 seconds of grief on an incline, so yeah, not much benefit at all. I use it because I like to see the icon!
terryb Report post Posted June 22, 2013 Hi Coach, I'm glad to hear from you and glad that you are still having great results from that car. With 100s showing up here my mileage has gone through the floor. I'm trying to lower the a/C load by experimentation, results yet to be determined. Take care out there. How many miles by now? 182? 1 coach81 reacted to this

dalesky Report post Posted June 23, 2013 very nice report! I have yet to take a road trip, but am looking forward to it.I am in North Dakota now, heading back to Mpls Monday. Driving a rental Chevy Cruze, which gets 39mpg under 70mph. The cruise control is a lot like our eco cruise. Not much else is reminiscent of a Fusion, so can't wait to get home on the 25th. Saw a lot of Fusions in Mpls area.

With 100s showing up here my mileage has gone through the floor. I'm trying to lower the a/C load by experimentation, results yet to be determined. Take care out there. How many miles by now? 182?Ah yes.. the battle of the heat begins!!!! I'm trying to use my moonroof and windows down as much as possible.. but I simply refuse to sweat in my new car for a few extra miles :) Not sure what you mean by miles... my total miles on the car is about 2800? So how did the track team do? Any pole vaulters? Both my sons did that in Jr/Sr High. No pole vaulters in year one.. but the kids competed really well.. we only placed in a few meets but I was proud of how hard they worked and improved all season. Now I'll be going back to coaching soccer...along w "regular football" of courseBet the are pretty strong now from pushing Coach's car around. :) LOL.. if only!!!!! Glad to get an update from you Coach! Thanks Bear.. glad to be back!!! 1 corncobs reacted to this
