smr2112 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 My car and my previous 2 have had black/dark leather interiors. I like this and don'tmind it beomg a little hotter in the summer. Windows down and drive off and it coolsoff quickly. I still would not trade the dark interior for a lighter one, I'd get the samenext time. I do think, however, that the 2013 with the black HyTi leather (can't speak for others versions) doesseem to absorb heat more than other cars I've had with a black leather interior. Morenoticeable than my 2004 Acura TL or 2010 FFH. Steering wheel gets very hot whenI don't consider it hot outside. Could it be the glass or the materials? Even on a moderate 82 deg day, not baking hot out, the interior seems fairly hot when I getin the fully closed car at the end of the day. Hotter than I'd expect. It does cool off withthe windows down. I do have a CoverCraft windshield reflector on order, I will see if that helps. Curious what others say?
