now a new ETA from the customer service manager

 

- Axle nuts and washers on backorder until 07/01/2013

- Fuel sender unit not in stock. Ordered same time as axle nuts

 

I am being told that the sending units might possibly be shipped the week of 7/1/13

after that email he calls me and asked me to email him my car bill so he can try to get ford to pay the month since its been sitting at there shop and it isnt fair that i should pay for it

 

now i wonder if they are trying to do this so i dont declare the car a lemon since on july 4 makes a month they have it in their shop and nothing has been done

That wouldn't work for me. I put down a decent down payment and my monthly bill is low. So if they just cover that, it wouldn't cover the costs of owning the car.

 

What about gas? You're using more gas now because you're driving a less efficient car.

yea that why i called ford customer service and told them the same thing im driving an '13 altima that enterprise gave me and only avg 21 mpg so im wasting double the gas i would be on my fusion so she wrote up a case # and escalated it to her manager he should be calling me either by the end of today or first thing monday. she did say that my car is on a top priority to get the module asap

 

i will speak to him and see what we work out but im very disappointed because even she said they have no idea when the module will be ready and since its close to a month i might just contact a lawyer and get the ball rolling to declare it a lemon since it will be 30 days it has been sitting there

I would start the lemon law process. You can tell the dealer that you're going to file a lemon law claim and would like Ford to buy your car back. Ford should have no problem doing that at this point after you've been without it for so many days. Hope it works out for you!!

thats what i plan to do once i get the call from them i will tell them i will start that process and want them to buy the car back

My car is in the shop today for the popping noise fix, shift knob, and a few minor issues with trim pieces and headliners. They gave me a 2012 Taurus in Ginger Ale. Man I don't like that color very much and the car feels like a tank.

Finally after 36 days and several calls to ford I got my Lilly back

Well now we've switched spots. My car is only in there for the popping noise, shift knob, headliner issues, and a trim piece that fits wrong, yet I won't get it back until Monday. Gave it to them Thursday. More time with the big ugly Taurus that actually RUNS when you stop at a light. Such a weird sensation now.
