acdii Report post Posted June 10, 2013 Rain-X or just waxing the glass surfaces. I might not bother waxing the car anymore now that I've learned about Zaino but I might still wax the glass to keep the water beading up nicelyIf you have AIO you can use that on the glass too. They say its good for all surfaces except porous ones.
hybridbear Report post Posted June 10, 2013 If you have AIO you can use that on the glass too. They say its good for all surfaces except porous ones. Will it have the same effect as waxing the glass? What surfaces on the car are porous that we need to be careful around?

acdii Report post Posted June 11, 2013 it beads up very nice! Had some rain yesterday and it was just like if I had rain-x on. I dont think there are any porous items on the car, at least on the outside unless you count all the rubber seals around the doors. I use the regular protectant on those, like armorall or meguiars or whatever I have on hand.

hermans Report post Posted June 13, 2013 Ford always runs the coupon for wipers.
smr2112 Report post Posted June 13, 2013 Then that's a really great deal if there are no exceptions. None are listed. If anybody gets thaton a 2013 Fusion while at the dealer, post it here.
smr2112 Report post Posted June 13, 2013 I never bought the $65 pair from the dealer, I said no thanks and left them. The parts people thought that price was nuts, but that was the price. Had I known aboutthe coupon, I would have just done that. I assume that coupon price was for them toinstall, not hand over the counter which would have saved even more. dalesky Report post Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) Has anyone else noticed that you can move each wiper by itself when the car is off?Hmm, have you thought of getting a hobby? Just askin' HAHA Seriously tho I haven't tried moving them except up and down to wash the windshield. Edited June 13, 2013 by dalesky
dalesky Report post Posted June 13, 2013 I agree. It was very heavy downpour I experienced, the vast majority of rainfalls would be fine.Have not had really heavy rain, but in the couple of rains we have had they worked well. Auto worked well also. I think the ability to really clear the windshield is impressive. Wide area and very good squeegee effect. Pricing from parts seems high tho, so I may look around before buying them there. Good info to have about getting them elsewhere. I get a long life from my blades, since my cars are garaged and there is no grime being swept around to speak of. Just nice polluted rainwater! LOL I found this while washing the car, thought it was odd when it happened, but they work just fine. I can also update on using AIO on the windshield, last night we had some really heavy rains and I drove through most of it with the wipers off, at 55MPH the water just sheared right off and no problems seeing. 1 neod192 reacted to this
