Wipers Seem Excellent! - Any opinions?

Recommended Posts

Rain-X or just waxing the glass surfaces. I might not bother waxing the car anymore now that I've learned about Zaino but I might still wax the glass to keep the water beading up nicely

If you have AIO you can use that on the glass too. They say its good for all surfaces except porous ones.

Will it have the same effect as waxing the glass? What surfaces on the car are porous that we need to be careful around?

I don't know if you have it but I have Zaino's CS, and I use that on my glass and it seems to have similar effects to waxing.

it beads up very nice! Had some rain yesterday and it was just like if I had rain-x on.

I dont think there are any porous items on the car, at least on the outside unless you count all the rubber seals around the doors. I use the regular protectant on those, like armorall or meguiars or whatever I have on hand.

UPDATE -

In case anybody is interested....I intend to change every 3-4 months.

I got 2 sets of the exact match Motorcraft wipers from Rock Auto for less than the dealer

would have charged for 1 set. Don't get it - why I ever go to any store to buy

pretty much anything these days is a mystery (I don't generally(

Almost a 300% markup, the dealer probably pays more than I do.

2013 FORD FUSION 2.0L L4 ELECTRIC/GAS

MOTORCRAFT WW2601 Wiper Blade $ 12.07 $ 0.00 2 $ 24.14

MOTORCRAFT WW2700 Wiper Blade $ 12.07 $ 0.00 2 $ 24.14

Shipping Ground $ 9.00 Order Total $ 57.28

Then that's a really great deal if there are no exceptions. None are listed. If anybody gets that

on a 2013 Fusion while at the dealer, post it here.

I never bought the $65 pair from the dealer, I said no thanks and left them.

The parts people thought that price was nuts, but that was the price. Had I known about

the coupon, I would have just done that. I assume that coupon price was for them to

install, not hand over the counter which would have saved even more.

Has anyone else noticed that you can move each wiper by itself when the car is off?

Hmm, have you thought of getting a hobby? Just askin' HAHA Seriously tho I haven't tried moving them except up and down to wash the windshield.

I agree. It was very heavy downpour I experienced, the vast majority of rainfalls would be fine.

Have not had really heavy rain, but in the couple of rains we have had they worked well. Auto worked well also. I think the ability to really clear the windshield is impressive. Wide area and very good squeegee effect. Pricing from parts seems high tho, so I may look around before buying them there. Good info to have about getting them elsewhere. I get a long life from my blades, since my cars are garaged and there is no grime being swept around to speak of. Just nice polluted rainwater!

I have a few! LOL I found this while washing the car, thought it was odd when it happened, but they work just fine.

I can also update on using AIO on the windshield, last night we had some really heavy rains and I drove through most of it with the wipers off, at 55MPH the water just sheared right off and no problems seeing.

I wonder how long it lasts.
