New Hybrid owner here!

Interesting that the MKZ has the dual integrated exhaust that the HyTi lost. Where are the hybrid badges on the MKZ? I'm starting to see more new MKZs around here and am curious where to look for the hybrid badges because I'm not spotting them in your pictures.

Hey hb. The MKZ does not have any "in your face" hybrid badging. The only clue that it is a hybrid is the 2.0H badge on the trunk. I am seriously thinking of getting a set of Fusion hybrid trunk lid badges to stick on the sides of the Z. If I am going to go green, I would like people to know it. :)

I understand the premise, but I wouldn't do a thing to that car! haha. It's so nice the way it is. Plus I'm not a huge fan of excessive badges myself. The FFH has almost too many for my tastes.

I like the hybrid badges. I am a strong believer in hybrids and that they are an important piece in helping curb pollution and my carbon footprint. I want ppl to know that my car is a hybrid, not to say "Hey! Look at me!" but for the purpose of showing other people that hybrids are a viable option and encouraging other people to look at hybrids. I hope that soon hybrid cars will reach their tipping point and become wildly popular. And I want to be a part of that movement by making it known that my car is a hybrid.

Nope. All Zs have the same optional wheels. It just depends on what level of luxury you are willing to pay for. :)

I hear ya. I too think the FFH badges on the side are overkill. But, I think the smaller trunk lid version would not be too much.

I'm not a fan of excessive badging either; it reminds me of the bad-old-days when car companies (American and otherwise) wanted extra credit for stuff that was part of normal engineering. Remember badges for things like fuel injection (TPI anyone?) 5-speed? I completely agree with this article, for instance.

I considered a FFHyTi as well. The deciding factor was that you could only get it with a BLACK leather interior. Not a fan of black interiors here in North Texas where we can see 100+ temps from late spring to early fall. ;)

I wanted the MKZ for the tan interior for the Houston environment. Great minds. Guess I'll just throw on some tint.
