itschris Report post Posted May 24, 2013 Excellent. Thanks for your diligence, Chris. I'm holding off my order until we have something resolved within this group. I don't even have my car delivered yet but it'll be soon. Well unfortunately, the admins here have been completely disinterested. I've sent two emails and they have not even bothered to respond to either. Given that they won't even answer an email from a user, I doubt they'd extend any effort to making a deal. That being said, my neighbor, a total car guy, has the super plush matts in his vette. They're pretty damn nice and given what's out there, I think they're the way to go. Now I haven't seen some of the other contenders like Lloyd's, but I've read a enough reviews where people have been disappointed with the quality typically stating that they were well shy of the density and thickness that the company markets. Either way, I guess I'm just going to order the ones I from AutoSport. 2 acdii and bcrisp reacted to this

smr2112 Report post Posted May 24, 2013 Why don't you see if you can get a 10%+ discount code from AutoSport that people could use? That might be the next best thing?
dalesky Report post Posted May 24, 2013 AW, now y'all are making me feel left out, since i ordered mats from somewhere else! boohooI will let everyone know what mine look like when I get them installed. Based on another user's recommendation I expect they will be OK.
jat0303 Report post Posted May 27, 2013 I purchased a custom made set of Luxury Berber mats that I love. Had same thingon the 2010 FFH. Black is the color you want if you have a Titanium, but you can request samples. I switch to the Husky or WeatherTech whenthe weather gets bad. But these cover up the "under petal area" fully. Won't get any heavier duty carpet than these. European Style Luxury Berber(42 oz. Woven Nylon Yarn)Price: $139.95 http://qualitycarmats.com/ Takes about 10 days and fit perfect. Just wondering if the driver's floor mat goes all the way up under the pedals? I called another company about the Autosport mats and they told they didn't go under the pedals. Car ID is checking on the Lloyd's and getting back to me. I don't want to spend a lot of money on 1/2 a mat on the driver's side. The OEM is pretty much worthless to me. Thanks. The OEM is pretty much worthless to me. I have a set of Lloyd's that are still in the box, as I expected them to extend under the pedals on the driver's side (based on pic on autoanything web site), but they were the same inadequate coverage as the OEM ones were. acdii Report post Posted May 27, 2013 So far the only mats that provide adequate coverages are the Husky. Weathertechs dont go up high enough and dirt gets behind the footrest in my 10, but the Husky didnt have that problem.
smr2112 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) The Berber mats I have do go under the pedals fine. Looks like all these companies were afraid ofToyota-esque lawsuits! I will post a picture of how they look from under the dash. If you are interested in these, I suggest you also order the heal pad. Really don't like the Ford basic mats. The drivers foot well area is shaped a bit oddly, so that nothing aftermarket in stores come close. With my black interior I think the grey will be a nice contrast. Also, won't show every speck of dirt/debris that gets brought in. I know I mentioned this before, but I am getting anxious. Probably be here by the end of the week, hopefully. I will post pics Edited May 28, 2013 by dalesky
smr2112 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 There is a slight bump/hump right under the accelerator. The carpeted mats don't really contour around that, but they docover over it and they are not in the way of your foot, so that's fine with me. Also covers under brake pedal and they have 2 exact fit grommets that fit the same location as the Ford mats. They do not move once in place. 1 dalesky reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Unless the mat rides up the foot rest, dirt will get under the mat no matter what it covers. It likes to pile up right at the corner there too and is a bitch to get out.
smr2112 Report post Posted May 29, 2013 Here is a picture of the Berber car mats, you can see the coverage under the pedalsand overall look. When the weather turns to crud, I switch over to either Husky's orWeatherTech mats that will hold the "slosh". 3 hybridbear, bcrisp and dalesky reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted May 29, 2013 One week in my car and you will want to put the husky back in. That driveway gravel is murder on floor mats. It has a heavy limestone base, so it sticks when its wet and even more gets in the car. It gets tracked into the garage when we pull in, no matter if its wet or dry, and its very fine too. A REAL PITA. However, a set of Husky in each car is a whole lot less expensive than a black top drive way. I can buy a lot of mats for what it would cost to have one put in. 1 bcrisp reacted to this

I had to give up Grey Poupon to afford them. 1 dalesky reacted to this

I am compulsive about vacuuming too, so they won't have much of a chance to get dirty. I got an email a couple of days ago that they had shipped. fusionTX Report post Posted May 30, 2013 Got my Husky's today. Haven't put the back ones in, but the front fits well and will be nice to use for travel and inclement weather. Will probably get a set of nicer plush mats for normal use too.

Since the FFH invites for relaxed driving I tend to put me left right where the mat stops.

We bought the Ford all-weather mats when we took delivery of our car so we can keep the carpet mats saved for summer. We looked at the WeatherTech and Ford ones and decided to buy the Ford ones because we didn't know that they wouldn't cover anything on the drivers side...after seeing how filthy dirty the carpet was after only half a MN winter I'm very concerned about how the unprotected carpet under the pedals will hold up and want to find a way to protect it in the winter

milleron Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Tried the Weathertec liners on my wife's Buick Lacrosse. They cost about $160 and were NEVER, even from the start, worth a nickel. They wouldn't lie flat, constantly moved around, and provided virtually no protection for the carpet because they were always all over the place, allowing loads of dirt to get around the sides. They were so bad I literally threw them in the trash within three months. That's one of the worst products I ever bought in my life from a company that advertises heavily and has a reputation to uphold. When I called Weathertec to complain, the lady advised me to "turn them over and put a brick on them." OMG, for $160 (for JUST the front liners), she wants me to reform them with a brick so they'll do what Weathertec hypes them to do in the first place!! For THIS car, I bought the Husky liners, and there's a world of difference. The fit as well as the Weathertec liners, but they stay in place. Unfortunately, they do not actully have holes to affix them securely to the floor posts, but they don't seem to need that. I thought that the money I spent on the Ford all-weather mats would be wasted, but I find that they sit nicely inside the Husky liners for winter use and that the standard floor mats fit nicely inside them for the summer. The rear all-weather mats don't move a mm. For the front ones, I think I'll need to enlarge the fastener holes in them just a little, so they'll fit over the raised areas in the liners. thavil Report post Posted June 12, 2013 Here's another vote for the Husky liners. Had Weathertech's for my Cadillac CTS but they didn't fit well and moved all over the place. The spikes on the bottom of the Huskies make a world of difference. The driver's side floor mat that came with the car was a miserable joke!
