hybridbear Report post Posted May 14, 2013 What reports are there that you can get when ordering a new car? A lot of you have mentioned getting a report that shows your build priority. Some have mentioned a DORA and others a VOC? What are these reports? I wish I had known about all these things when we ordered our Fusion back in the fall. Now I want to help my parents track the progress on their C-Max Energi. I imagine this will also be helpful for others on here too. And it's easier to do here than on BOF Thanks! neod192 Report post Posted May 14, 2013 When I quoted the car I got a report that shows the options and prices. This report doesn't mean the car was ordered, and it can be printed before the order goes in. When I placed my order, I singed a piece of paper that had the options listed (w/out the price for each option) along with the total price for the vehicle (in my case it was the x-plan price). This was a hand-written note and I believe it was the VOC (Vehicle Order Confirmation). A couple days after I placed the order I received the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) via e-mail. The DORA lists has the order #, dealer code, priority along with all the vehicle options and prices (both invoice and MSPS). At the bottom it shows the total MSRP, A/Z plan, D plan and X plan prices. Once the vehicle was built, I received the actual car's invoice. I got this before it arrived at the dealership. 1 hybridbear reacted to this

I e-mailed my mom to ask for the VOC and DORA from the salesman for their Energi. I'm curious to see the order priority.
acdii Report post Posted May 29, 2013 Curious if there is a way to track once off the rail car. Last update is it is at the rail depot waiting transport, could be tomorrow or it could be a week from now. Now I know how y'all felt waiting those last few days! 1 fusionTX reacted to this

Mine got off the train on Monday and I picked it up on Friday ... it was only 30 min away too! Edited May 29, 2013 by neod192
acdii Report post Posted May 29, 2013 Yep, no more than 90 minutes away for mine too.
hybridbear Report post Posted May 29, 2013 When ours was unloaded off the rail car the dealer said they could have it ready for pickup the same day. We waited until Monday though (came off rail car and arrived at dealer on a Friday) because the weather that Friday was nasty with snow and ice. The rail yard in Mpls that is used for the auto transporters is about 15 miles from our dealer
dknape Report post Posted June 25, 2013 My car arrived at the rail yard in Illinois on June 17th. Rail car was unloaded and haven't heard anything since. Seems strange that they would truck the car to columbus ohio from the Illinois rail yard. As of now the dealer says I know more than he does.
acdii Report post Posted June 26, 2013 Sure they didnt transfer the rail car to a different rail line? I think CSX terminates in Chicago and its a different rail company to Ohio.
murphy Report post Posted June 26, 2013 Sure they didnt transfer the rail car to a different rail line? I think CSX terminates in Chicago and its a different rail company to Ohio. It's the other way around. It's Union Pacific to the Chicago Interchange and then CSX to all points east. hermans Report post Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) That is correct. It can sit in Chicago for awhile until it gets connected to the CSX train. My FFH sat for two days and the MKZ sat for three. Edited June 26, 2013 by hermans

Your Union Pacific rail was, or will be, connected to a CSX train for the final leg. All your dealer needs to do is run the report and it will show the last GPS point. dknape Report post Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Becoming very disappointed in the dealer as they claim to know nothing. They're also low balling me on my trade in so I'm rushing to get my MDX sold before the Hyti arrives. I'll call tomorrow again and see if I can get the next rail car number. Thanks for the assistance! Edited June 26, 2013 by dknape

jeff_h Report post Posted July 3, 2013 Didn't see it mentioned in another thread, sorry if it's been covered already -- the Ford site now shows the Fusion as the 2014 model, base price for hybrid is $26,200 (which is what caught my eye vs the usual $27,200)

I saw that while checking out the new colors Dark Side and Sunset.
neod192 Report post Posted July 3, 2013 The Hybrid Titanium starts at $32,500 instead of $32,100 ...Driver Assist Package is $1,200 instead of $1,140. It was $1,000 when I ordered mine. The Interior Appearance Package is new at $695. This is the red leather stuff, vinyl door inserts and premium floor mats. The Rear Inflatable Seat Belts are $190.The Wireless Charging Accessory is $195 (ouch!)There's nothing under Accessories ... ?? Also looks like the incentives are different. I see $500 retail cash + $500 if you finance through Ford.
acdii Report post Posted July 9, 2013 That wireless charging thing puts it in Avalon territory. That was one feature the Avalon had over the Fusion. Too bad cant get brick red with Ruby Red. Wonder what Dark Side actually looks like.
