My new 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid

Is that with the seat raised up all the way already?

The passenger seats are only 2 way in all the 13 models. Forward and backward with manual recline.

The only differences between the SE hybrid seats and the Titanium hybrid seats should be one's cloth and one's leather (respectively) and one's 10-way power/2-way manual (driver/pass respectively) and the other is 10-way power/2-way power.

Nope alpha754293. The SE has a totally different seat than the Titanium.

- Front passenger side window regulator one touch-up wouldn't work a few weeks ago when it was slightly cooler here. Then it got warmer again, and the problem went away on its own.

I've noticed this a couple times. Seems random, both passenger and driver side wouldn't go up or down with 1-touch. Parked, shut car off, turned back on and both sides worked fine.

Yep, this has happened to me too on my passenger side window.

The one-touch windows seems to be a common thing, give this a try:

- Hold button to put window all the way DOWN and continue to hold button for 3 seconds after window is all the way down

- Hold button to put window all the way UP and continue to hold button for 3 seconds after window is all the way up

- Hold button to put window all the way DOWN and continue to hold button for 3 seconds after window is all the way down

This should reset the auto sensors to know how far all the way up/down is, and then the one-touch up or down should work again. I had this same issue and it worked for me (based on seeing this noted in another thread post), so give it a try.

Do you have pictures of the controls though? The front driver seat should both be 10-way power regardless of whether it's cloth or leather. It may LOOK different because of the fabric, but if the functions are the same (i.e. they're both 10-way power) then he/she should be able to raise and lower the seat to its limits or as needed.

Yeah, actually it happened when I took delivery of the vehicle.

It's pretty bad when you take delivery of your brand new vehicle and the windows don't work correctly. It's kinda embarassing I would think for the dealer.

The basic controls are identical on the SE and Ti. The covering and cushions are way different. My only complaint on the HyTi is the seats are a bit firmer and not as comfortable as the Luxury package was. If it becomes a problem I will just get a cushion for it. The firmer seat cushion makes my legs ache right behind the knees. This is what I didnt like about the 2010's.

That's what I thought. Which means, like I said, that the top row of pictures on p.134 of your Fusion manual should be able to show you where to find the control for raising and lowering the driver's seat. Now, if it's a question about the travel limits, that's probably not going to help with that, but you should be able to adjust them.

Can you please check your manual and then play with your seats to see if it is doing what I think that you are trying to get it to do?

(I don't have the SE version and I don't know if I have one available at work right now, so I can't play with it for you and find out/confirm that). Sorry.

Alternatively, if you like your dealer and your sales and/or service contacts there, you might be able to give them a call and see if they will be able to help you out.

I could be wrong but I think the complaint is with the passenger seat.

A few days ago I got to compare all 3 types, as my old 2010 FFH was here to get an oil change (now has 157k miles and still running like new) while its new owner (wife's best friend) was inside chatting with wife/kids/etc.

2013 SE w/luxury pkg leather - Soft, maybe too squishy for some, but I like it. Not a lot of side support.

2013 Titanium leather - Firmer (some might call them a bit stiff), but with better side support to grab your butt and keep it in place.

2010 Hybrid (w/502A pkg leather) - Seems like a mixture of both of the above, not as soft as the above SE (but more side support), not as stiff as the above Titanium (but less side support).

If your legs had problems behind the knees, maybe the seat needed to be tilted back (or forward) more to give less pressure/more support as needed? But I'm sure you tried it every which way to try and get it right.

Added - yes I think the original complaint was about the pax seat, but straying off happens pretty often in these threads. :drop:

Thats pretty much spot on. I am still playing with the adjustments so when I finally do get it just right going to lock it in to the memory position.

The complaint IS with the passenger seat, not the drivers seat.

Oh haha...my bad. I must have mis-read that then. In that case, sorry. All front passenger seats (as far as I can tell) are all just two-way adjustment.

- Check engine light came on on Saturday and then went away by lunchtime the day before yesterday. Apparently, because it self-cleared the code, so it took the dealer more time to find it, but it's apparently a very small, minor evap leak. C'mon guys! Seriously? at 4200 miles and 6 weeks of ownership??? Not what you'd expect from a $40k MSRP car.

Was this traced to a bad purge solenoid? We had this CEL come on at around 6000 miles and the VHR traced it to the evaporative emissions system. The dealer pulled the code and replaced the purge solenoid because there was a TSB about that. They said Ford got some bad parts. Maybe your issue is the same.

Pictures posted here in the other topic about passenger seats. With the Luxury Pkg the passenger seat is 4-way power, not 2-way power with manual recline

http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/5930-passenger-seat/?p=56522

Some people call it two-way, others call it four-way. It depends how you look at it. Even Ford literature has been inconsistent on this. I've seen called two and four way.

This is good information and it works. Maybe it should be pinned somewhere in a "solutions" thread.

I don't understand though how it can be considered 2-way. If the passenger seat is 2-way then you can only call the driver's seat 5-way...

I agree. Is there a thread with this info that acdii or I can pin? Otherwise if someone starts one we can pin it. I believe we have a section about windows that it should go in

Truthfully, a lot of that is probably marketing. lol....but you are right though. If you count all the arrows for the power seats, it's 10-way. But for the manual seats, they don't show the arrows, and they just say the two controls (fore/aft and tilt up/tilt down). haha...that's interesting.

*I* called it 2-way because that's what it says in the official documentation so I'm kinda stuck having to go with that.

Welcome! Like you I purchased a higher mileage on the odometer Fusion (262 miles). Similar to yours it's a White Platinum Titanium but in 2.0L Ecoboost AWD trim. My car was a post-assembly tester and a dealer transfer, hence the high initial miles. The only thing I didn't like were the scratches on the center black trim piece around the cup holders. The people driving it were not careful. It's taken care of and I keep it in great shape.

Enjoy your new car!

Thank you.

See if you can talk to your dealer about having that fixed for you. They should be delivering a vehicle that's to your satisfaction and in pristine condition regardless of whether it was a tester or a dealer trade.

(And given that Fusions are like flying off the shelves for the most part, even if they were a tester, it should have had a very short life as one.) I would check though because people who test drive cars (if left to their own devices) have a knack for beating the crap out of it, which is probably not the best thing to do during the break-in period.

From my end of things, I didn't mind taking a car with higher delivery miles because since I work for Ford corporate, I was able to run the VIN number against the production schedule and once you subtract the Google distance between the two dealerships, it was fairly obvious that it brand new when it arrived at dealership A (the original dealership) that my dealership (B) picked it up from.

I've been getting a LOT of really nice compliments about the car and a LOT of people are surprised that it's a Ford. yay!

I'm sure that you'll enjoy yours too. But I would definitely take it back to the dealership if there's any problems cuz I'm sure that they'd want you to be 100% satisfied. The SMART dealerships know how important it is to make and keep their customers happy because they also know that between say you, your wife (if you're married) and your kids (or future kids or maybe future kids) - they could end up selling 10+ vehicles over your lifetime. And to them, that's a pretty big deal - dealership loyalty - nevermind brand loyalty.

We went to Ford Nationals in Carlisle Pa. this past weekend. Great show if you haven't been. While there we went to the Ford demonstration and test drove the Fusion and CMax hybrids. I had already test driven both but my husband had not. He really liked both. He favored the Fusion but since it is my car he let me decide. I drive a 09 MKX so the CMax was what I'm use to. I narrowed it down to the Ice Storm or the Ruby Red SE/cmax sel models w/ dune inside and no sun roof, or park assist. Well, in my travels on monday I saw a red Fusion Hybrid on a dealer lot (this is in an area with lots of up/down hills and curvey back roads), so I thought this would be a very good area to really test drive one. The test was fantastic, excellent handling, great acceleration and comfy to say the least. I even managed to get a whole bunch of green leaves ;-). Didn't use the great sound system because I wanted to hear the car when the gas kicked in etc. figured out the regen brakes pretty quickly too. I loved this car so much, we made a deal and I picked it up yesterday afternoon. It is a Ruby Red Titanium with everything except the park assist. The charcoal color is growing on me mostly because the post and headliner are light gray, doesn't seem so dark. I don't know if there is a difference in the seats of the SE 505A interior (very comfy) but these are super comfy. So far I have gone from 6.9 mpg to 33 mpg in about 80 miles. Allready better than my MKX at 23 mpg. Which is great concidering all the playing you have to do when you get a new car. I love everything about this car ( and the sound system rocks), it is one very fine automobile.

Nice! I'm glad that you're enjoying your new Fusion Titanium Hybrid. :) It IS a great car. I had ANOTHER customs officer today say "Nice Fusion" as I was pulling into his booth (completely silent BTW).

And I can tell you for a fact that the car can definitely handle/hold its own. (I still have to do the write-up for when I took one to a track day last Monday and I think that my "instructor" might have been a little bit surprised at how hard I was able to push the car without spinning out or going off the track/off course. Mine had already 4200 miles when I did that. I wouldn't recommend you doing that to a brand new one mind you.) It was a LOT of fun trying to find/figure out what are the limits of the car.

I have to say this car has so many features I had to read the manual! Thats a first! Learned a lot though. Love that you can customize what you want to see and use. The voice recognition is much better than my MKX. The touch panels are a bit sensitive but you do get use to them pretty quickly. I have learned how to get to speed then let off a little to get into electric power (blue bar) and pretty much maintain speed. And I'm at 94% on the regen brakes. Thats the hardest thing to get use to, using the brakes to up the battery. Also learned if you use the recirulate air with the a/c it takes less energy. Love the wipers as they both go toward the center then out, clears the rain (major down pours in my area yesterday). Love the keyless lock/entry and the sony sound system. And I'm now a fan of the charcoal interior. Its sleek and sophisticated. I'm at 202 miles have a little more than 3/4 tank, up to 35.8 mpg. The roads around me are mostly daul lane 45 to 60. The back roads are curvey with hills and valleys. I don't really drive in major congestion but do have areas of stop and go traffic. Haven't been on the interstate yet but will today and will try out the cruise control. BTW I signed onto fuelly.com how do I post it when I have to filler up?
