Former Expedition owner Report post Posted May 8, 2013 When I attempt to use Sirius Travel Link, I see these spinning circles on the screen. I've even tried leaving this screen up for about 30 minutes, but it never changes. I am driving outside and can receive Sirius radio while this screen is on. If I push the FUEL PRICES icon, I see this: I know I have an active subscription, as you can see here: Anyone else with a similar issue? Should I call Sirius or Ford? 1 corncobs reacted to this
jeff_h Report post Posted May 8, 2013 I would call Sirius and give them your ESN for travelink (they may already have it paired with your VIN) and they can send a fresh signal or 'ping' to it, or whatever it's called. If that doesn't work, then I would head to the dealer. 1 corncobs reacted to this
Former Expedition owner Report post Posted May 8, 2013 I spent a total of 33 minutes on the phone with Sirius and they couldn't get the Travel Link to work. The first 5 minutes were with Sirius Customer Care, who had me turn the radio off, back on, tune to channel 184, and then he sent a signal to my radio....no result. Sirius Customer Care then transferred me to another gentleman. Let's just say English was not his first language. I spent 28 minutes on the phone with him, repeating the process the first guy had me do, still no results this time. He then had me do a "soft" reboot by turning the car off, open & close the door, turn the car back on. Still no Travel Link services. He finally told me I had two options: Wait for a while and monitor the Travel Link screen to see if the information would eventually load into the system Bring my car to a Ford dealer and have them check the satellite radio module, possibly perform a "hard" reboot. So, that was a half-hour of my life wasted. :rant2: But, the "hard reboot" comment triggered something in my head...I've heard that term used in this forum before. Sure enough, neod192 had posted a link to a way to perform a hard reboot without losing all your presets, like phone info, waypoints, and radio stations. I found his How To Reset MyFord Touch w/out losing your presets thread and followed the directions to download a file to your computer and extract it directly to a USB drive. Once I performed the reboot in my HyTi, it took about 15 minutes for all the data to load into the Travel Link page. :happy feet: No more spinning circles. 2 corncobs and neod192 reacted to this
