ramseyny Report post Posted April 24, 2013 According to some, the coupon will be honored after the expiration date. My dealer seemed to think so.
corncobs Report post Posted April 24, 2013 Hopefully that is correct. My coupon had been expired for 1 week when I picked up my car. My dealer submitted the rebate to Ford but I have yet to hear anything or better yet get a check in the mail. As far as I know nothing the dealer can do after this point it's up to Ford if they wanna honor the rebate or not.
murphy Report post Posted April 24, 2013 The dealer made a copy of my coupon the day that I ordered the car.It was honored 12 weeks later when I picked up the car even though it had expired.
wazzul Report post Posted April 24, 2013 I've learned through talking with a couple different dealerships that the rebates are between Ford and the dealership and given in their monthly pricing (debits/credits) from Ford. There will be no way for the dealership to single out your $750 from the monthly inflow/outflow with Ford. Therefore, you can pretty much kiss goodbye the idea that you might be getting money back. I'd talk your dealership into free services while you still have some bargaining power!
