gadgetguy Report post Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) So far this is my best single trip mileage I have recorded 44.7 mpg. Most of those 36 miles is on the interstate at 65 mph as well. Keeps getting better and better as it breaks in! :shift:  Edited April 23, 2013 by gadgetguy 1 corncobs reacted to this

gadgetguy Report post Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) Awesome! You are going to love it. As you can see I have just over 1600 miles and i have only had it 2 weeks, I picked mine up on the evening of the 8th. My first tank I averaged over 37, second tank almost 39, third tank 40.2 and this tank I'm on currently is just over 38 (Playing Ingress has proven to not be the best MPG activity lol). I think I can achieve an average of 41-42 mpg per tank once it is completely broken in. ROB281 Report post Posted April 25, 2013 Close to 22000 miles on mine, routinely pulling 44+ around Houston even with highway driving. Can pull 38-39 with speeds in excess of 80 mph 1 gadgetguy reacted to this

gadgetguy Report post Posted April 25, 2013 Same here! Yesterday I got 44.5 driving mostly 67-68 on the highway! Woo hoo! That's awesome! This vehicle is truly an awesome car to drive in ,many ways! I will be taking a 3 hour drive to one of our campuses next week and I'm anxious to see how it does. I have to go over the mountains as well so it will be interesting to see the mileage. 47Minutes Report post Posted April 25, 2013 Same here! Yesterday I got 44.5 driving mostly 67-68 on the highway! Woo hoo! So what formula do you suppose the trip computer is using to calculate the MPG? If you take "Total Distance" / "Fuel Used" (29.6/0.6) the result is 49.3. If you take "Total Distance" - "EV Miles" / "Fuel Used" (29.6-6.8/0.6) the result is 38. I'm trying to take the data displayed and calculate to the 44.5MPG and I can't seem to get there. Am I missing something?

Am I missing something? Not sure, but I know the Fuel use displayed only has one decimal place. The computer has a more precise number to do the math. 29.6 miles / 0.649 gallons = 45.60 MPG29.6 miles / 0.650 gallons = 45.53 MPG That's still 1 MPG off, but it's closer ... corncobs Report post Posted April 25, 2013 I would say the car uses at least two decimal places for the gallons just as you can see on the trip 1 display. Now if you take 29.6 / 44.5 you get 0.665 gal which shoul be 0.7 on the display but I'm guessing it's not rounded and they just chose not to display 2 decimal places like they do on trip 1. corncobs Report post Posted April 30, 2013 Here is nice snap shot. https://www.dropbox.com/s/00q22frqgttyf7y/Photo%20Apr%2028%2C%2011%2022%2010%20AM.jpg But to be fair that was thru the Zion National Park which we drove 100% in EV mode. Not too hard when it only goes down hill at max speed of 35 MPH. 1 gadgetguy reacted to this
