Fusion2013Jax Report post Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) We just bought a brand new 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE with MyFord Touch and I absolutely LOVE the car EXCEPT one issue that we've been having. I noticed a day after we picked it up from our dealership that the left front speakers don't work. I am wondering why quality assurance didn't catch that defect. So I brought it back to the dealership to fix it, I waited for 2.5 hours and they said it was the audio module and that they had to order it. A week later, the part came in and I brought the car back for them to install it. Another 2.5 hours later, they told me that it wasn't the audio module and that they had to order another part, the amplifier. The part came in and that's not it either. The car has been at the dealership for the past 2 days now. They are at the end of their wits about what it could be and I am getting to the end of my patience. It can't be THAT complicated to fix a car stereo !!! They are suspecting now that it could be the noise cancellation. They checked the wires and the wires on the left front have a much lower (amperage or volts, I don't remember what hubby told me) number than all the other speakers, Has anyone here had any issues like this? This is almost "lemon law" material, what do you think? I just want my beautiful car back :( Edited April 18, 2013 by Fusion2013Jax
JSKershaw Report post Posted April 18, 2013 That's really strange. So the wires are okay? My first guess would be to check the fade and balance setting in MFT. My other guess is to check and make sure the wires are not broken from the speaker to the head unit. Are the speakers blown? There can't be too much more to check now that the amp and audio module has been change...
Fusion2013Jax Report post Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) well, I got my baby back in the driveway, FINALLY !! It turns out that a pin on the audio unit was bent. Straightening it fixed the problem. At least they figured it out and it's all fixed now :) I was finally able to listen to the stereo the way it is supposed to sound for the very first time today and I really like it !!
