What has happened to likes?

I still get notices that posts are being "liked," but you can no longer see them on the actual post. When I "like" a post, it no longer shows up on that post. Is this just happening for me, or are others noticing this difference on the forum?

Just tried it with your post, it just shows an 'unlike' button.

Doesn't show any other members - that is different than it was.

Yep, I noticed the evaporation of the likes last week sometime. I thought my ability to see them had changed, but obviously it's more common across the board. If they're invisible, I think their use will drop.

I noticed that too. Other forums, like BOF or C-Max Energi or C-Max Hybrid forums didn't show who liked posts just like what is happening now on our forum

They probably did an upgrade on the forum software.

Somebody must have made a change in the software; I run a couple of forums and this is usually something you can turn on or off, though I've never seen one turn it off visibly but still leave the function! Weird choice, IMO.

That's probably it. Hopefully they notice and make it either likes that work all the way or no likes at all!

There is another not so nice new feature.

If I like a post it used to update the page and go back to that post. Now after the update the first post of current page is shown.

I just liked your post and it didn't even refresh the page. The like button just updates to unlike - I'm using Chrome.

OK in this case it might be just be the case with the mobile version in combination with my iPhone.

 

Has anyone asked the "staff" about the likes display on a post?

If you click on like, it then turns a grey colour "Unlike." The Unlike is if you change your mind later on and want to take your like back.

I got you now. It's only show if "you" liked it, but doesn't show who else.

Did anyone notice that with the changes it also reduced the size of images that we can attach directly to posts? Now instead I've found I have to add the images to my gallery and then link that to the post

I think there is finite space for imaged linked to posts to each user. Every time you upload a pic, the size decreases. I can't attach them anymore and use Google+ (w/ instant upload from my phone) to host my pics.
