Congrats looks like your car is scheduled for 07/28 this coming Friday!

Keep in mind this can still slightly change! I would check ETIS on Saturday but unfortunately I guess you won't see anything until Monday if the car was built.

Other than that your dealer provides you with awesome information maybe you get one on Monday stating "In Production - Produced".

Hopefully the "Friday-built car syndrome" won't apply :/.

I would be more worried about Monday builds. ;-))

I was just kidding my car was actually built on a Friday based on ETIS and I'm very happy with it.

So my vehicle health report finally worked. I am just over 1,400 miles, so I guess it is true that you have to be over 1,000 miles for it to work.

Now that I have seen it, I am very dissapointed. Really no usefull information. A bunch of OK's did not show my odometer, or how old my oil is, etc. Why am I expecting that?.. Because in my Grand Prix that had OnStar I got a report each month from OnStar with lots of useful information like that.

So I am dissapointed in the report, and will probably never run it again.

90% of it is coupons, etc. regarding me going for service, advertisements, sales, etc. That is what most of the report contains. Useless if you ask me.

Well, at least the car is awesome !!!!

State Farm Insurance will provide a discount based on mileage reported to them by Ford from your VHR. Even though your odometer does not appear in the useless report it is transmitted to Ford.

Well, I assume less mileage is better. So probably would not benefit me as I drive a lot. Already have over 1,700 miles in just over two weeks. So averaging over 70 miles a day so far :) Good part is my company is paying me for my miles, or the business ones anyway. Definatelly helps with the car payment !! :)

So my car was built on June 11th and was able to track it to the Illinois rail yard on Tuesday the 18th. After this date my dealer told me that they couldn't track the car but I should expect it in one to three weeks. So I got busy selling my existing car and was able to complete the sale on July 1st which was great news as my dealer called and said it's on the truck and will be traveling from Flatrock to Columbus Ohio and will be at the dealers on either the 3rd or the 5th.

So the 3rd goes by, and the 5th and I finally call on the 8th and the dealer tells me they have no idea what is going on or where the car is at but it should be here soon. In the mean time I've had to rent a car to get around. On the 10th I was getting rather testy as I haven't heard anything from the dealer and decided to search AutoTrader for a vehicle similar to the one I ordered and low and behold one has been sitting in Toledo since the middle of June. So I drove up to Toledo today and am the proud owner of a brand new Tuxedo Black HyTi w/Navigation, Adaptive Cruse, Driver Assist, Sunroof, and Active Park.

The car is terrific and I got 43.9 mpg on the way home from Toledo.

Now I'm torn as to weather I should be nice and call the dealer to let them know that I purchased a car and am no longer interested in my order, or should I wait until they call me just to see how long it takes. In either case if anyone is interested there will be a Tuxedo Black HyTi w/Navigation, Adaptive Cruse, Driver Assist, Prem Floor Mats, and a Cargo Net arriving in Columbus sometime in the near future.

Wife got hers yesterday with 5.3 miles on it from Gullo Ford in Conroe, TX. We love it! She's done most of the driving, but from the little driving I have done a little. My thoughts:

  • In my short time driving, I must say the steering feel and handling are my favorite parts of the car so far. I wish my Genesis had as precise a steering feel as my wife's Fusion
  • Nice sounding stereo!
  • This car is every big as big as my Genesis. The Genesis may have a couple of inches on it, but not by much.. The Fusion is definitely taller and higher.
  • The ICE is a little louder than I remembered.... Typical of 4 Cyl engines I suppose, but I'm a little spoiled by
  • What a bewildering array of electronics! I haven't done any manual reading, but I am going to have to...
  • I know Ford needs to distinguish between this and the Lincoln, but I was surprised to find a manually adjusted steering wheel
  • Programming the garage door with a rolling-code garage door opener is a lot easier than on my Genesis..
