Fusion Order Progress Spreadsheet

Here is what I have so far, thanks to this forum. My dealer is pretty useless. They wouldn't even give me a DORA.

So I decided to ping Cyberdman, Ford's twitter and my dealer all one last time, my dealer was the only one who said it would be here later next week.

 

Both @fordservice and cyberdman said May 5th, my dealer said my car "just reached the railhead." I assume he is looking at the same report the other 2 are, what would be the motivation for saying it won't be here until late next week?

Set expectations low, exceed them when the car arrives on time .... This typically yields in a satifstied customer, just not in your case :(

Hi all,

 

My hybrid se arrived the dealership today (Fremont, ca). Excited to pick it up, but needing to wait a week as I'm out of town. If anyone sees an Oxford/dune/SE joy riding around Fremont over the next week, please report!

I finally made it!! Well actually we picked it up yesterday 5/4 but I've been in it every minute since then so I haven't had a chance to update the Forum!

Car was delivered to the dealer on the exact day the dealer quoted (after the build) April 30th. I unfortunately didn't have a chance to go get her until this Saturday May 4th. Time to retire the Ol' Civic, we sold it today to a family member so if we ever need to visit we know where to go (but I don't see that happening).

You can mark mine as arrived. It was in Denver on 4/30. I headed out of town on vacation while it arrived at the dealership. Picking it up tomorrow!

Well folks I've decided to take the plunge. I just ordered a Fusion Hybrid Titanium on May 6th.

 

Color: Bordeaux Reserve

Options:

• Driver Assist
• Adaptive Cruise
• Moonroof
• Nav
• Premium Floormats

Got it for 2 bills over invoice + advertising fee.

 

I just moved and somewhere in the flotsam of boxes that used to be a clean home there is a copy of the order confirmation from the dealer, and it said something about "Job 2." The dealer told me they'd be updating me again on or around 5/17th. I'm hoping my wife gets a nice 4th of July present, but apparently there's no rhyme or reason to how Ford chooses to build cars.

Got a call from my dealer, the car will be arriving tomorrow, and I'll be able to pick it up on Friday, might not get to pick it up until Saturday though as I have a meeting I can't skip out on unfortunately.

You have at least a month and a half wait from what it shows. Looks like it wont get built until July.

Congrats; Looks like your car has been scheduled for the first week of July.

The next step should be a scheduled to date notice; anywhere between 07/01 and 07/07;

 

Since it has been scheduled you should also get a VIN # from your sales guy.

I was talking to my sales guy yesterday and he showed me an FFH order that took only 5 weeks so far.

Ordered the second week of April and it's already on a train in IL; if I remember right it said GLO which I believe is the rail yard in Chicago where it gets unloaded.

I updated the spreadsheet. But strange it is July 1, there are no builds on the spreadsheet for June. Mine is May 20th, so if there are no builds for June then I got lucky.....

 

Anyway, seems like a long wait for a build date.

Awww dangit. Though this will be the wife's car, I think I'm more anxious than she is :-).

I wonder when they start gearing up for 2014 production. I wonder if the build date being so far out is a result of that? Or perhaps because the factory is too busy building Lincolns?

 

In any case, looking at the spreadsheet, It looks like about 7-14 days from build to ship to the dealer. I'm in Texas, so in theory, it's at least geographically close, so it's possible that it's less than that. Ah well, I was hoping for a 4th of July present for my wife.

 

Somewhere on this site i ran across someone who posted a link to a site where you could enter your VIN and it would generate a window sticker; does anyone have that handy?
