Dash compartment Lid removal

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anybody knew how to remove the lid that goes to the compartment on the dash right above the stereo on the ford fusion. I need to completely take the lid out and was told that it was possible, but Im not sure how.

What are you going to do? Are you installing something in its place? Just curious.

There are two screws at the top of the opening behind the radio trim panel that need to be removed, then the compartment lifts out. After the compartment is removed, the lid can probably be removed.

Is the door adjustable? Mine sits down a bit from the dash , looks like poor fit. I would like to raise it up flush if I could

Thanks

I doubt that the door is adjustable, unless you put some felt pads or something where the rubber door bumpers contact the dash.

A portable DVD player in the dash? Not the best idea IMHO.
