Now that it is starting to warm up in my area, I just ordered a windshield sun shade from Covercraft. Vendor states the sun shade is cut to fit 2013 Fusion windshield glass exactly. Anyone have experience with this item or would generic sun shade from auto parts store be just as good? :{

Is it the one that goes inside or outside? I have one that folds into a circle, but never used it, but may use it in the new Flex since its black on black with black interior. All I need now is a black overcoat to go along with my black boots and black cowboy hat.

I purchased the Intro-Tech Automotive Ultimate Reflector Car Sun Shade (Part Number FD-54-R) from Auto Anything and it fits the FFH perfect. The Intro-Tech shields are a custom fitted, lined shield that folds, rather than rolls, up in several hinged sections making it much easier to put in place than the "rollers". The Ultimate is a "firm" shield that snaps in place from the top to bottom without the use of the sun visors to hold it. As they age the ends don't curl up like up like the "rollers" on the ends. Another nice feature is it is reversible which allows you to put the black side out to retain heat to help control frost and icing in theory...I don't get enough ice here, thankfully, to fairly test that claim. I have been using this brand for several years in various cars and SUV's and have never had any issues or problems.

And before anyone "catches" me plagiarizing I did copy most of this post from my post on the C-Max forum... ;) Same product with a different model number, same review and I'm lazy... :)

I've used this type for various vehicles, they adjust, fold away very small, last a long time and do the the job.

I fold the sun visors down to hold it them place.

The fact the two units fold into small ovals is handy, they can then just sit vertically between the seat and the center console.

You just need to get the knack of the 'twist, over & under' folding trick figured out.

Bart would know how to do this, goes along with knowing how to lasso livestock.

Just remember what happened to the guys who responded to that call.... ;) I have had enough "roll ups" that stayed permanently rolled after a few weeks that no "roller" will ever darken my dash again.... I only do "folders" now... :)

Anyone installed a rear window sun shade? My parking at home is outside, and normally the car faces north, which means the rear window gets the worst sun. I am looking at this https://www.autoshades.com/products.php?product=Rear-Window-Sunshade%3A-Europa-Mark-I

as one possibility and this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008VM0TLO

as another. I also ordered the Covercraft sunshield for the windshield. Will report on it when it arrives.

I have the same issue with the Sienna. The golden question is: Where do you store your "folder" now?

My Contour had the Jumbo shades and we used them a lot more than the roller because they would fold easily and fit under the seat.

My Z has the power rear sunscreen/privacy screen. It was one of the options I had to have, if only for the "cool" factor. :)

The MKT I am getting has screens on the side windows. No clue why, but it has them.

They are for the passengers. Moms with youngsters like them to keep the sun off the kids.

My wife says it comes in handy and she likes it. :play:
