Bioshock Infinite

Don't know how many of you are video gamers, but about once a year I dust off my PS3 or PC for a game I know will be awesome and this year, Bioshock Infinite is it. Utterly fantastic. Just about every bit of it blew me away. The visuals, the music, the art, the history and interesting story of it all are beautifully done. People who "don't play video games" are truly missing out. And the ending is a total mindf**k. Loved it.

yea, I just started plaing this game on my PC. Upgraded my video card and it came with the new TombRaider and Bioshock Infinite. Finished TombRaider and looking foward to spending some quaility time in(on) Columbia. My Kids are gone all week so I have my Gaming PC all to myself.

Ive had three days off and I'm playing through it a second time just to see things I missed. It's great. I've got it on PS3.

yea, I was wondering how you finished it so quickly, it's only been out for three days. I didn't think it was THAT short of a game.

with a 5 and 7 YO in the house I have to refrain from those types of games, and stick with the Lego games. They are fun though.

Well it is violent I suppose. And full of racism. And blasphemy. But it is set in 1912.

I have World at war or whatever its called, the WWII game Russia/Japan, and that one I can only play when they are not around, which is never, and GOWIII, which also I have to play when they are not around. If it involves shooting, slashing, blood/gore or anything like that, it does not play when they are around. Bad enough to have Harry Potter fall to pieces! LOL

Ah I remember those days, so hard to play Mature rated games cuz my boys always wanted to see what I was doing on the computer or xbox. Any of the lego games were great. Family friendly and fun for Dad too! Now my boys are teen aged and kick my but at Halo on a regular basis. Have to have 3 counsels in the house cuz the box were such horrid screen cheaters! One screen for each of us now.

My only child is 13 months old and she doesn't really pay attention to it. We've got a boy due in July. I figure he'll have something different by the time he's in the teens.

I will check out Bioshock when I finish the new Tomb Raider. It will take me a while. My reaction times are not what they used to be.

 

The recent game that impressed me the most is Journey. No instructions and no shooting.

Ah I remember those days, so hard to play Mature rated games cuz my boys always wanted to see what I was doing on the computer or xbox. Any of the lego games were great. Family friendly and fun for Dad too! Now my boys are teen aged and kick my but at Halo on a regular basis. Have to have 3 counsels in the house cuz the box were such horrid screen cheaters! Well ya, but you know, in between the chopping, fishing, killing some meat and dragging my wife around by the hair, I manage to find a little bit of time to start up the generator run some extension cords into the cabin and play a game or two on my 12in B&W RCA TV. :hysterical:

Whew... glad to hear, I would have been disillusioned otherwise. :)

I have lots of relatives in the PNW, go to the Oysterfest in Shelton, WA every so often.

 

I've played video games as long I can remember, starting with Pong.

They have come a long way, the graphics are astonishing.

I use my Steam account sometimes, the last games I liked were the Half Life series, Rage and Portal 2.

My 27" iMac quad i7 does okay, no TV boxes though. If necessary I can boot into Win 7 for games, but not often.

My aging neuro pathways just can't keep up anymore but I fiddle with them now and again.

I remember playing tomb raider 1 and 2 and they were both awesome ps1 games. The new one looked good but I didn't try it. Maybe I'll check it out. Last games I played before Infinite were Assassins Creed 3 and Skyrim. I think I'm done with assassins creed lol. And the third Uncharted game was great.

The new Tomb Raider plays A LOT like the Uncharted games, and that is not a bad thing.
