Neod, yeah I saw them. Nice! Can you change the colors or is it just blue? I'd think blue would look best anyway.

Yup, I like it. It's not overly bright, but it definitely changes the feel of the interior. Main thing is that it only cost me $22 and about 2-3 hours. For that price, I think the results are pretty great.

Where did you buy the lights? How did you wire them?

Yup, though the Settings - Vehicle Ambient Lighting menu.

The lights are just PlasmaGlow Lumaflex lights (got a 1ft strip and cut into 2 sections) that you can buy from Amazon or CarID or multiple other places.

I had Discover rewards to burn so I ordered through amazon and got them for about $14 bucks in the end. I wired them pretty much just like Wailer did, ran the wires down to the kick panels, fed the passenger side wire through to the drivers side, and ran them up behind the pedals. From there I connected the red wire to a fuse that is only powered when the ignition is on, and grounded the black wire to a bolt back in there somewhere. The worst part is dealing with the fusebox (I'm accustomed to them being a lot more accessible) and the tiny micro fuses. Would have been nice to use a fuse plug instead of soldering or wrapping any wires to the existing fuses, but I couldn't find any for micro-fuses.

I received my ambient lighting parts today must faster than expected and I couldn't help myself but rigging something together.

I only added one LED in the center above the center cubby and one into the passenger cup holder.

These LEDs are very small and flat but hold quite a punch for a single LED.

While showing off to my wife we noticed that my placement in the cup holder is too blinding for the passenger so I need to change the location and direction.

It looks really cool especially with a full water bottle in there makes the whole thing glow like crazy.

I will move the first to the other side tonight and maybe add the second one. It's just fun to play around with stuff like that and even better if it turns out like that.

Update:

Just finished relocating the first cup holder LED and adding the second one.

Here is a picture of the actual LED, it's a 0.25" square with paper thin connection wire.

Wow, I am amazed that no one here has the actual ambient lighting package. I will besure to post some pics when mine is delivered. On my Mustang it is pretty cool.

All Titaniums (Gas, Hybrid, Energi) have it, including mine. I have pics of it in my gallery (see signature).

I just realized that my door handles (the one you pull to open the door) are also lit up. I thought it was just the buttons and the cup holders in the door.

Yep. And did you also notice if you have your ambient lighting in any color other than red, when you open your door with the car on, the door light color changes to red?

Where is the headlight or parking light wire located and what color is it? That would be where I would tap into to get power to the ambient lighting. I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid, btw.

We just bought a Fusion Hybrid but it is not the Titanium model.. Will the Ford lighting kit work in our model and tie into the touch panel?

Yes and no, it will install, but not controlled by the panel, it will come with a control that installs in the console.
