steveo358 Report post Posted March 26, 2013 I am trying to make a list of things I need to look for when receiving my car. I know the shifter on the titanium. Also check the trunk for alignment. I think I read somewhere that sometimes the fender isn't lined up correct also. Any other things that need to be looked at would be great. RedLdr1 Report post Posted March 26, 2013 As far as the body check for any paint issues, paint chips, dents, dings, and overall body alignment. Check all the glass and lighting for any chips or damage. On the interior check for any stains, scuffs, rips, or streching of the seats or other panels. If you have any options that include "loose" parts, like the trunk organizer, make sure you have them. Once you drive off the lot it can become a "He said" versus "They said" as far as any damages that you could have possibly caused yourself... Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Since mine is a factory order I wouldn't want to say "we'll I don't want this one now" and have to wait another 2 years for a car to be built. I have seen a picture on this forum I believe of an energy fusion on a lot with a misaligned trunk that looked bad when the taillights didn't match up. Most dealers have a body shop also to do accident work. I would think that's a minor thing to them. Maybe not minor to me and you. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'd note the problem on the Delivery Inspection paperwork and schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Just because a panel is misaligned doesn't mean it needs replaced, just aligned.... Thanks, Steve Check for rattles like we have in the headliner. You can't tell those things necessarily until you drive a few days, but keep watch for those things. BatCat Report post Posted March 27, 2013 Don't forget to look up at the headliner for smudges. We had a huge grease stain on the headliner just where the drivers head is.
