ramseyny Report post Posted March 25, 2013 Just got my VIN today but I'm confused about tracking. Went to FordEtis and got a build date of 30.11.0002. Does anyone know what that means? It also said it was a Transit Connect but I see from the forum I should just ignore that. Strange system. Thanks for any help.
jeff_h Report post Posted March 25, 2013 30.11.0002 means the VIN has not been built yet... and don't worry any of the Fusion VINs that i've run have come up as Transit Connects.
acdii Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Looks like just about everything comes up as Transit Connect.
ramseyny Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Thanks Jeff. Impressive mileage you've got there too. That will be hard to beat here in the cold hills of upstate New York.
ramseyny Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Does status of "Submitted to Plant" mean anything? Any idea how long from now until a build date is scheduled?
jeff_h Report post Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) Thanks Jeff. Impressive mileage you've got there too. That will be hard to beat here in the cold hills of upstate New York. I used to live near Syracuse, was nice and chilly there... but you will have a Spring and Summer in which to drive and get really good MPG... might only last 5 weeks, but well that's geography. When you see "submitted to plant", try to generate the window sticker online... if you can generate it (if you can't try again tomorrow and lather/rinse/repeat daily until you can), look at the date on the bottom center (not the date that you're visiting the page, that's an additional one below on most browsers), and your build will "likely" (in quotes since there are so many variables that can change things) get built in the next 2-10 days after that date. Check Etis once a day and the actual build date should populate on the day after the build completes, at least from what I've seen. bullsr1in90s Report post Posted April 6, 2013 How do I find out what my VIN is? I ordered it March 18. The only thing my dealer told me was it is scheduled to build April 8.

Do you have your order number and dealer code from the DORA? If so, you can contact FORD via Twitter for your VIN. The dealer should be able to give it to you also. Once you have the VIN, you can get your window sticker also.
MNHyTi Report post Posted April 6, 2013 If you are like me and don't have a Twitter account, you can also you the "chat" feature on the ford.com page. Just go to the Build page and you will see a "chat" button in the upper left portion of the screen. It will only show up during normal M-F business hours. There you can give them your dealer code and order number.
acdii Report post Posted April 7, 2013 Go to Facebook Ford page and ask Trina, she will also do what she can to get that info for you.
smr2112 Report post Posted April 8, 2013 I got the dealer's invoice and it says "Days in Transit" (16 days) - if you know the car is built, can you find it where it is, or is this one of the things you'd have to rely on a Ford person(ie Blue Oval) to look that up for you? I guess from people getting their cars now, the cars are moving and there should be littleholdup for cars built in late March.
