HenryVIII Report post Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) So I've been shopping around looking at how the Conti's perform on the Ti model with 19s and started looking at winter and summer tires as well. I came across the Michelin's Alpin PA4 that is offering a discount. It has Green X technology for lower rolling resistance. Might be great for you northerners that can benefit from a dedicated winter (performance) tire. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Pilot+Alpin+PA4&sidewall=Blackwall&autoMake=Ford&autoYear=2013&autoModel=Fusion&autoModClar=Titanium&partnum=345VR8PA4XL&tab=Sizes Performance in the winter AND good fuel efficiency? Hmmm definitely worth considering... Not to mention it's a pretty cool looking tire! Edited March 21, 2013 by HenryVIII
hybridbear Report post Posted March 27, 2013 Are you installing winters? We though about it but even in Minnesnowta we only would need snow tires a handful of days each winter. Even with our cold and snowy winter this season the roads are mostly dry...
HenryVIII Report post Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Not yet lol! I haven't even bought a Fusion yet lol! More than likely I will run through the factory tires then look to get summer performance and winter (possibly performance) tires. I may decide to get a set of summer rims and tires so I'm not 100% sure. I just wanted to present FFH owners with a winter tire option that offers LRR for better fuel economy in the winter. acdii Report post Posted March 28, 2013 The LS2 tires have pretty good snow traction, I was very surprised at how grippy they were. Not bad for a LRR tire.
Allegany Report post Posted March 31, 2013 I put Hancook studded snow on my 2013 fusion. I have 17 inch tires. The studs worked great the past winter. Plan to get them taken off in the next few weeks if we can get past the first of this coming week and they stop predicting snow. Last year we had 18" of snow on April 25.
