ketel0ne Report post Posted March 20, 2013 So I bought my car with 85 miles on it, I have not reset trip 1, so it has all the miles from new. My question is about the timer, it appears to me at least that my car has been "on" for 18 hours, but only driven now a total of 335 miles. Can someone confirm that's what the image shows. I have only had the car on for the time it has taken to drive the other 250 miles post purchase. If that is the case why would the car have been "on" for so much time? acdii Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Maybe that is how long the car sat with the ignition on while they were prepping it, or updating or whatever.
aaronj1159 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 I remember seeing stories (was it on this site somewhere??) where the dealer would leave cars running as they rearranged their lots for whatever reason. I've even seen stories where the dealers forget that the hybrids were running (since they're so quiet) and leave them on for long periods of time on accident. Something like that could have run up your on-time, and simultaneously killed your lifetime fuel economy. 2 hybridbear and elle reacted to this

Did you know that you can get much more info on the trip meters? Go to the right and there is a check box that will make it so that the trip meter also shows your gallons used and MPGs since last reset. And congrats on your new Fusion! :)
tombarker13ffh Report post Posted March 21, 2013 Or even just salesman showing the features to potential buyers, not necessarily test driving, but turning the key on to show the screens, gauges and what-not. I know i played with a couple before I got mine on order. Only test drove a CMax though. Ordered a Fusion for the better looks.

dtw-dave Report post Posted July 31, 2013 Does your timer on your Trip 1 and 2 ever stop? According to the 2013 Owners Manual (Feb 2013 Edition, bottom of page 90), pressing "OK" is supposed to stop and start it ... mine does not ... it only resets when I hold it down long enough. Although on page 91, that statement is kind of contradicted. I'm confused ... any comments?

I'm confused ... any comments? My 2013 Flex does stop and start with the OK button, so I think this refers to gas only versions of the Fusion. The dash on the Flex is nearly identical to gas Fusions. It uses the exact same dash in both models using different bezels and programming.
dtw-dave Report post Posted August 1, 2013 Thanks for the fast replies, murphy and acdii. I wasn't sure if there was a software glitch based on the Owners Manual info, or if that's just the way it is with Hybrids. Looks like the latter.
