Shouldnt be hard to reach 47 in Fla. 1 erichFla reacted to this

jeff_h Report post Posted March 18, 2013 Good luck with the car and trying to get 47 mpg. I don't think anyone has yet. Tank filled up on March 1st - 47.3 MPGTank filled up on March 5th - 47.1 MPGTank filled up on March 12th - 45.3 MPGTank filled up on March 16th - 47.9 MPG I've noticed a definite behavior difference between 30F and 60F, at least it seems to me anyway. The month of March still has some cold left to it (the term "cold" is relative, of course), so hopefully in the next couple months the numbers may get a bit better -- before the hot summer comes and knocks things back a bit. 1 erichFla reacted to this

djminfll Report post Posted April 12, 2013 Hey erich, I'm also in So. Florida, wanted to say HI! Where are you in So FL? I'm in Fort Lauderdale.I've posted before, since the weather is never too cold here, we don't have the same cold weather issues that most of the others posting on here deal with. My first fill-up was also in the upper 30's, but since then, I've maintained anywhere from 42-46mpg per tankful. My current overall average is 43.1. The longer you drive, the better you'll get at getting the mpg up in the mid to upper 40s. The best I've ever achieved was a 31 mile trip where I got 51.6 (pic posted in my gallery). Hope you love your FFH!David 1 erichFla reacted to this

I'm glad you were able to get almost 52 MPG as there are some people here that they don't think it can be done.
Nick P Report post Posted April 15, 2013 It's definitely doable. My last tankful was 48.8 MPG and overall since I got the car (2000 miles so far) I'm at 45.9 MPG. And that's in PA where it hasn't really gotten very warm yet. Keep wprking at it and you'll get there.
