fusionTX Report post Posted April 5, 2013 Has anyone picked up their car after the increase and used X-Plan? My car's here and the dealer wants to charge me the new price. They're saying I'm price protected and I'll get a refund check from Ford for the difference. I want my old price up-front minus $100 (or x-plan equivalent) for the missing aluminum pedal covers ... What would you do?I had the discussion with my salesperson last week. I don't think she was aware of the price increase. We have an agreed to price, so we will see what happens. I think the dealership should be responsible for processing any refunds and should only charge you what you agreed to.I'm not sure I would press for an extyra $100 off because of the aluminum pedals. That's part of the new pricing, which you do not want.I realize you don't have the metal pedals, but changes are made all the time. JMO Let us know how it goes. Congrats on getting your car! 1 neod192 reacted to this

neod192 Report post Posted April 7, 2013 So how did it all go down? Old price, new price, something else?I ended up paying the new price. Since I have X-Plan I'm price protected and Ford is going to send a check to my dealership; the dealership will then write me a check for that amount. They didn't know what the amount was going to be - either the difference between the new and old price or that difference + cost of the pedals. They said it'll take up to 90 days to see that check, so I'll just wait patiently and see what happens. I did e-mail Ford through the X-plan site on Friday, so hopefully I'll hear back from them soon.
Riggo Report post Posted April 7, 2013 Couldn't Ford have just sent the check to the dealership? Seems odd they had to make you pay and then send you the refund check. I also had a deal done before the price increase. I hope they don't try to pull that with me.
