Adaptive Cruise Control and the Grill

Recommended Posts

Please take a look at the attached photo and let me know if this looks correct to you. I noticed the plastic that covers the left side of the front grill on my 2013 FFH. I took it to the dealer, and they told me that the plastic covers the Adaptive Cruise Control mechanism. If you have a 2013 FFH that is equipped with ACC, will you please let me know if this is on your vehicle as well? I haven't seen any other Fusions with this extra plastic, but I don't know if they have the ACC or not.

Thanks for your help!

Your dealer was correct. I would ask your dealer to assign a salesperson or hybrid mechanic to go over the car/features with you.

Thanks for your help everyone, I appreciate it. And that is a great suggestion hermans, I already did call my salesperson after they told me about this and asked for someone to go over everything I may have missed. I think I'm going next weekend for my "lesson"!

Yes that's how its supposed to look to prevent debris from entering the grille on that side.

A shame really - I was planning on having the lower portion of the grille chromed!

I barely even notice it on mine. I thought it would bother me, but it really doesn't.

I agree with expresspotato The only drawback to having the ACC is not being able to put after market goodies that you can slap on your lower grill. I have seen some on the earlier Fusions that I thought would look really good, but I believe that the metal mesh would play havoc with the ACCs radar.
