Another Good FFH Review

This is from The Truth About Cars. They did a 0-60 mph test in 7.31 sec. I knew my FFH felt faster than the 8.3-9.1 seconds in other review. TTAC is probably the only one to do it with a 100% SOC on the battery.

I guess you didnt read the full article, it the same things other magazines are saying. Its unrealistic and he was in warm climate area.

Also the video is deceiving. The way he was driving in the video, everyone here knows he would have only gotten 30mpg.

I like the Trunk comfort index. That's too funny. Nice to see that the reviewers are getting much better gas milage now. I wonder if Ford has tweeked the Fusion a bit. I see a lot more folks getting MUCH better milage, just like the TTAC reviewer did. (or maybe Fynack just got a lemon)

I got a lemon, looks like Fynack just had short trips. Looks like most who are getting well under 30 are all short trips. My trips are at least an hour with 80% highway, so in the honor of Wendy's, Hey, Wheres the 47 MPG! :)

Who are you referring to as "everyone"? Do you mean everyone who does not even own 2013 FFH but does have way more expensive Lexus ES300h which is less fuel efficient than the FFH? I am confused!

 

Didn't the article say that the presenter got 41MPG and so now you are telling us that the guy from TTAC is lying also?

 

I thought the article and the video complimented the FFH for the most part. His observations were honest, fair and accurate. Thank god that he didn't get a lemon for a test car and didn't drive the car for two mile trips as if he was trying to win the Daytona 500 like some people!

My daily commute is about 9 miles each way. But i have take the FFH on longer trips of 30 , 40 miles and a long 200 miles trip. No trips have taken me past 37-38mpg. On the highway I can do no better then 34-35mpg. even on the long 200 mile trip. No bragging but my es300h today at 32f with snow on it allowed me to use EV mode at 1.6 miles on my work commute. I ended up averaging 36mpg on the 9 mile trip with the heat, steering wheel heater, seat heater, rear defroster on the whole time. So the freezing temps gave me a 10% loss in fuel economy since its rated at 40mpg. Thats acceptable to me and i was in a hurry. Losing 20%+ just because of freezing temps is ridiculous. I agree with eveyone here if you have short commutes dont get a FFH you will be very dissapointed and your better off getting a toyota or a straight gas vehicle. I drove my brothers 2012 Kia Optima (nonhybrid) to work last week and averaged 32mpg. This is why I have such rage with Ford because I could have just gotten something else for less had they just came out with the truth about MPG and cold temperatures.

This is a trip from leesburg to falls chuch and back. Which is about 65 miles total. Could never do that in my FFH even on 60f days.

You have to get this straight... You could never get this with "your" FFH. It has been shown many times on these forums and others that 47MPG is achievable on a regular basis. Today my commute to work in -7*C (19*F) I got 43MPG with the heater and seat warmers on the whole time.

Yes, a majority like their MPGs or accept what their getting. But 23.53% of people arent getting close. I know the real number is about 40% because a lot of people dont want to feel bad or regret their purchase. But either way Ford refuses to help the people who are experiencing the poor MPG. The 23.53% is just on this forum. If you check other forums, review sites, Facebook page the complaints are constant.

 

And yes you are correct I only speak for the people who are getting the poor MPG. Not all FFH or FFH owners.

Yes, less fuel efficient and surely less wallet efficient too. Other members here are getting north of 55MPG for 60 mile commutes. Your experience does not represent EVERYONE's experience. You are not everyone! Maybe you got a lemon, maybe your driving didn't suit FFH. I don't know and frankly I don't care. You fixed your problem by spending more money! Move on buddy. Life is not fair.
