What color is your 2013 FFH?

My sister ln law tells this story about buying her Prius. She paid MSRP up front and waited for delivery before finding out the color and equipment. Nice to have a choice.

So I replaced my 2007 Mustang GT (Vista Blue) with a 2011 Fusion Hybrid (White Platinum). This year I came around full circle to blue again with 'Blue Beast IV'. My wife says the sting of replacing a GT Mustange with a hybrid is deminished if the newest hybrid is a similar color...

Really, I think most of the colors look really, really good on this car. I had a tough time choosing my favorite, and Bordeaux Reserve came out on top in the end. However I was really impressed with both whites, the Sterling Gray, and even the black (and I rarely like black paint on cars). I love the Bordeaux more every single time I see it though. Such a looker!

I am really surprised that there are only two Platinum Whites.

 

Originally, I wanted to buy the Deep Impact Blue. My 2nd choice was Platinum White. Ingot Silver was my 3rd choice. I really couldn't find the car i wanted in Blue or White with the options that i wanted. But it looks like Ford raised the price of FFH as of March 1, I am glad that I got the car when it was cheaper!

I dont know if you had an up close look at the blue, it has almost a liquid like appearance to it. Probably one of the best blues I have ever seen on a car.

It is a very striking color for sure. But then again, all of the colors on the FFH are very pretty. One thing about Honda cars is that the their colors are pretty bland as is the styling. I should know since I had 8 Honda/Acura in my lifetime. I loved the Silverstone Silver on my 2005 Honda S2000 but that is about it.

We recently had some snow come through the area, it cleared up today so this afternoon I was able to wash my beautiful Ruby Red car... and notice that there are 4 different spots where the paint has small chips (which are more noticeable on Ruby Red than on my previous Sterling Gray) -- it doesn't appear to be any defect in the paint, but 20 miles of my commute is through a construction zone where there are always small rocks being kicked up (and will be for the next two years) and when the word snow is spoken out comes tons of salt so that gets kicked around too. So no matter how careful one is, the only way to truly keep this stuff from happening is the keep the car in the garage I guess.

 

But I mention this here in the "what color" thread as a reminder to those that love their color to think about getting a small bottle of matching touch-up paint while at the dealer, or elsewhere if you can find the perfect match. I wanted to get one when I got the car but they did not have any RR in stock, and then when I went to another dealer and got some Red Candy touch-up for my wife's car, that dealer was out of RR too. Apparently the commodities constraints hits the little bottles too. :violin: Just kidding... but something to think about.

Good call. My part of Virginia is the same way. The same section of I-81 outside of Blacksburg has been under construction for as long as I've known. And I drive through it twice a day normally.

Thanks for your votes as the number is continuing to rise, it's up to 46 now. Ruby Red is still on top with black and Ice Storm tied for 2nd place. Bordeaux, Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Sterling Gray tied for 3rd.

 

Where is coach81? I know that he drives an Ingot Silver FFH!

I hate to disagree with the good folks on this forum but there really is only one color this car should be made in and it's Oxford White! Ever notice it's the only color used in the TV commercials for the car? There's a reason for that. And not Platinum White either (too yellow looking). It's Oxford White baby! All the way!

Hate to burst your bubble but all of the print marketing material shows the car in White Platinum.

It absolutely doesn't matter at all. The car is great in any color. But I have to stick up for my Oxford White. Heck, it's the lowest vote total in the survey. C'mon all you Oxford White drivers, get out and vote!

Around here, if there's a hybrid on the lot, it's Ice Storm. I test drove one when I was making my decision. I didn't actually mind the color even though I don't tend to like anything close to it. But I like my cars to be dark in color so, no go for me.

I guess the paint has so much depth that it catches the light of anything around it and reflects it off the car. I still like how it looks, I feel like it has a more expensive or luxury look to it which is why I went with it.

It does have more expensive look because it is more expensive! Impact Blue was my first choice then Platinum White. I like all the colors!

Ha, yes that's true. I just meant it made the car itself look more expensive or luxurious. But I agree, whatever color floats your boat is cool with me. To each their own.
