Very first new car!

Recommended Posts

So I am a little late to the game since I bought my 2013 Fusion Hybrid in December but here it is! This is my very first new car and couldn't be happier. Honestly I never in a million years thought I would ever buy a hybrid but with my commute putting me at almost 20,000 miles a year and the fact that the car looks so good and has great gas savings (my last car got 17 miles to the gallon) made me change my mind.

So far the car has been great. Had to take it to the dealer once because the Microsoft Sync system froze up on me. Good thing is that it hasn't happened since. I am still getting use to the hybrid driving style, I had to make some huge changes but I am improving the mileage every day. Although I would say that unless I can learn how to drive like a 90 year old grandma, I think the 47/47 gas mileage is almost impossible to achieve.

I am loving this car and am excited to be a part of this forum!

Welcome! Yay, another Appearance package Hybrid. I was starting to feel left out with the

majority of people having the luxury package lol. Like you, I didn't think I would own a Hybrid either, but my yearly mileage is like yours and this doesn't look like a Hybrid for sure :) I came from an 05 Acura TL, so it took me a bit of time to adapt as well.

We have an old SUV with over 262, 000 miles on it that gets a whoppin' 10 miles to the gallon......... down hill.

So we bought a FFH and can't wait to stop making oil companies rich every time we go to the pump. Hopefully our FFH will be here soon.

Congrats to you :-)

I like the appearance package, pretty dumb that you cant get it with the Luxury package. I like those wheels much better than the ones on mine.

The luxury package wheels have really grown on me. Would be nice to get the leather with the Appearance package like you said.

I love the wheels on mine, although I would say they would look a little better if they were 19" the car looks so big and the smaller wheels look a little funny.

Like many others here, another type of hybrid wasn't even considered in my list of canidate vehicles. Advantage Ford.
