Pandora Limits

Recommended Posts

I just received an email from Pandora. They are imposing a 40 hour limit per month for users who use the free app.

However, for unlimited listening, it is worth the $4 a month for those who listen to it a lot. I will go through 40 hours just in my daily drives, add in the weekends where I listen almost all day, and I think its worth it, Less expensive than Sirius, and can listen to it anywhere, where Sirius is only in the car.

Do you have an unlimited data phone plan?

Interesting. I listen to pandora on my 45 minute drive to and from work (through my phone) and often 6 to 7 hours a day (on my computer, with ear buds obviously), and they haven't contacted me yet.

$4 a month isnt that bad. Better than Sirius @ $10 a month, and I get to choose what music I like.

It was reported on our local morning news. It appears it only effects those who stream via their cell phones. So I should be good. 1.5 hours a day on the cell while driving to and from work equals 30 hours in 4 weeks and 37.5 in 5 weeks. Just under the limit. My computer time at work and home will still be free.

Does the My Ford Touch allow for any bluetooth music connection? If so you could just use other music apps like Slacker Radio and Jango along with Pandora. That way you probably wouldn't go over the 40 hour limit. I tend to like Slacker Radio more than Pandora anyway.

It can stream or USB, I prefer USB since it charges the phone too. I havent tried those yet, but I do have Podcasts of Click and Clack to listen too as well.
