neod192 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 More pics of the same car here: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51500-shipping-eta-tbd/?p=834217 They're all posted by techtoys, who actually test drove it! He mentioned it was as expected, but it didn't have the aluminum gas/brake pedals and the Hybrid badge on rear.
Riggo Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Yea! they DO exist! Ok Ford, now that VA. has one, please start building mine? Is it just me or do the Titanium seats look to be a little loose. I don't know how else to describe it. The leather doesn't look to be taught in some areas, specfically on the rear seats in the link hermans posted. I've seen this on other regular gas Titaniums. It's probably no big deal, I just wonder if those areas are going to bunch up and get wrinkled/cracked over time.
elle Report post Posted February 26, 2013 The pictures I've seen of the Titanium seats show a leather-trimmed cloth seat, which is very different from the leather seats I got with the luxury package on the hybrid SE.

Leather seates will look like that right after some one has gotten out of them

elle Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Dosn't seem to be any cloth on thoes seats. It's hard to tell. Those backseat ones do look loose, though. I'd be interested in hearing what others who have actually been in one have to say about the seats.
fusionTX Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Titaniums have no cloth. I've sat in regular Titaniums a couple of times. This first one delivered looks to have the trunk perfectly aligned. It does have the slight misalignment on the drivers side pillar. acdii Report post Posted February 26, 2013 The Leather in the Flex Limited looked loose too, and when I had Leather installed in my 2010 Hybrid, it was also loose. It tightens up after a while, especially after a few warm days.
wazzul Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Am I reading the Sticker correctly, Build Date = 2/5/13 and it's at the dealership in VA today?? If so, that's promising!
acdii Report post Posted February 26, 2013 Is it me, or does that wheel picture look a little strange? I wouldn't want that car, no ACC, just that stupid PA.

I took this to be what "leather trimmed" would mean: http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/fusion/2013/equipment/fsn13_models_detailflip_leatherseats.jpg Edited February 26, 2013 by elle

elle Report post Posted February 27, 2013 The picture is very confusing. Hopefully that is just a prototype but it seems weird they would keep it on their site when the actual product is so much nicer.

It may not show well in the picture, but looks nice in the cars.I also like the leather in the SE. I have seen both multiple times.
elle Report post Posted February 27, 2013 If it's perforated leather then that is why I am confused. It looks like cloth to me. Thanks for setting me straight.
hermans Report post Posted February 27, 2013 The entire seat is not leather, only the seating surfaces.
hermans Report post Posted February 27, 2013 In the Fusion only the seating surfaces are leather and there is no option for full leather seats. The MKZ can be ordered with full leather seats.
elle Report post Posted February 27, 2013 In the Fusion only the seating surfaces are leather and there is no option for full leather seats. The MKZ can be ordered with full leather seats. I've heard this before, but I'm driving a car in which the entire seats are leather, or at least a very good imitation of leather. Are they vinyl, then? There is a velveteen cloth strip on the right hand seat part that you can feel if you put your hand there. It's not visible. But otherwise the visible surfaces on seats(seating, back and sides all around) appear to be fully leather. This is the 505A luxury package. So if that's not leather, it's nice enough that upgrading to the MKZ for the leather would be pretty silly.
hermans Report post Posted February 27, 2013 (edited) Some people want the full leather package in the MKZ. The non-seating surfaces are vinyl. I know this as I had to replace a drivers seat in a Ford that had leather seating surfaces. Ford does not advertise it a full leather, they say it's leather seating surfaces. elle Report post Posted February 27, 2013 Okay, i'm attaching two pictures of the back of the passenger seat to show the texture of the surfaces and one of the side of the seat where I sit. Maybe I'm dense but I don't understand what you are saying. What is this material, if it isn't leather? Is this vinyl? They did a remarkably good job of matching the grain, if it is leather where I sit but not on the back and sides.
