I ordered my FFH TI on 6 DEC. Still no Vin, build date, or any information from my dealer... Does Ford really care about selling cars?

Have you asked your dealer for any information?

There were a whole bunch of cars that fell into some sort of black hole with Ford early on in the production run, so you'll see some people here complaining that their cars took forever, and that would be true for them. Hybrid Titaniums are not in production yet or else have just recently started, so people have been waiting a long time for those, as well (I was one until I changed my mind and bought a stock SE). If you're ordering a plain old SE hybrid now, though, you should have a six-10 week wait, as long as there are no parts issues.

Do any of you with long wait times have an SE with the 505A Luxury package?

Hybrid Titaniums are in production. There has even been a post on here of one on a dealer lot in Virginia.

And still on the dealers lot I think. At least still listed on Cars.com. Platinum white with all options. Makes me drool.

Ford is currently only building dealer stock orders. Production for retail orders starts on March 18th.

  • Dealer stock are orders that were placed for the dealership to have on their lot and sell to people coming in.
  • Retail orders are custom special orders for a customer.

Your order (like mine) is most likely a retail order. The dealer can place an order a car for a customer as a dealer order if they want to (they entered a 2nd order with my specs as a dealer order).

If anyone has seen more than that one, it would be good to know. I'm guessing that one was a special build to be driven by the press for review which then landed at that dealership somehow. Or else someone stuck a hybrid badge on a regular Titanium and took a few fun pics.

But I wouldn't know much about the hybrid TI, I only ordered mine in November and waited until mid February when I decided I couldn't afford to wait anymore. So I followed this issue obsessively for a while, but now am not really following it except out of casual interest.

There's one more at a dealer in WA. The VIN is 3FA6P0RU0DR171855. I don't have the link to the dealership handy.

Yay! Finally starting to arrive, then. I hope everyone who has been waiting will get theirs soon.

We were originally told 6 - 8 weeks when we ordered our car. We are in our tenth week waiting and we were told the car is still in Mexico. I'm okay with waiting for my order versus getting a Fusion from the dealer's lot. If I'm going to spend that much money on a car then I want what I want and not settle for what the dealer has in stock. Its worth the wait. Beautiful car!

Well other than that park assist mine has everything I want, and at the time the HyTi wasnt even known as being available, a week later it was, but when I bought this one, it would have been what I would have ordered minus the park assist. Same color and all.

When I look online now, I cannot find another one like it anywhere in Blue.

When you drive rural highways with people who dont know how to maintain a steady speed, you will find it comes in most handy! :) Set it, forget it, and let the car keep pace with moron #1 in front of you.

I had to call customer service to get any action. I got a call from my regional customer service rep, he said after some checking he found that it would be built the week of the 18th. I ordered it the 25th of Jan., took just over a month to get a VIN. The dealer said 6-8 weeks I don 't see how that will happen with all the hassle getting cars out of the plant in Mexico. There goes my $750 rebate that expires Apr. 1, guess it's April Fools on me.

That would be Bubba in his 4x4 riding my butt not seeing Moron #1 in front of me keeping everyone from doing the speed limit! :happy feet: :yahoo:

(hence the reason I was rather PO about how I was shown how to drive the car, I dont want to be Moron #1!)

Got my window sticker a couple days ago says it will be built the 25th, that is to the day the 8th week. I also doubt it will be here by Apr. 1 either. Will contact my salesman again after it is built and see if "management" will let us do some paperwork so we don't lose the $750 rebate that goes away Apr. 1. At least the process is actually moving, but I still haven't waited as long as some of the people on this forum so I feel pretty lucky.

Not necessarily, you can get the coupons attached to your order in 'VINcent' and the dealer fills out a page of paperwork and expiration won't matter.

How long did you have to wait on the DORA after your dealer placed the order?

The dealer prints out the DORA as soon as he places the order into Fords system.

I walked out of the dealer with a DORA right after I ordered.

I watched them enter the order into Fords system.

OH the VOC and Dora are the same thing? I have the Vehicle Order Confirmation from my first order the NonHyTi, but didnt get one for the HyTi. Now I see where the priority is listed, wonder if it will be the same on the new order, it was 10 on this other one.
