Newbie in north carolina

Hi, I am a newbie to the hybrids, and am seriously contemplating jumping into the hybrid titanium line. After reading these forums, it seems like it may be a long one, but I don't see anything that compares to it. I was also curious as to what people are getting their price to when ordering. Thanks guys, Steve

If you like a black interior, the Ti is the way to go, but it could be a long wait. The SE would also make you a very happy owner.

I tested a AWD fusion titanium, and loved the interior. I am pretty set on that, but not one salesman will come out and say "I can sell you a titanium hybrid for ------"

I am looking for a ballpark area that I should be paying for this car. I am wanting all weather mats, and NAV. One dealer I was talking to also told me he was positive that they didn't make a hybrid fusion in High Impact blue. I have seen one on the web at a dealer in Florida I believe. I feel like I know more about the cars than any salesman I have talked to.

I'm also a newbie to this but this is what I have gathered so far... Allocation for hybrids are based on vastly on breakdown of geographical regions through out the US; California for example has a higher allocation for hybrids than Florida. Most of the posts on here are in references to retail orders. Retail orders are customer based due to the fact that the dealer did not have in stock the vehicle the customer wanted with their desired options. When it comes to production, retail orders do have a higher priority over dealer orders. The dealer will tell you historically orders Ford wide take 6-8 weeks upon when you place the order until you receive it. From what I read online when the dealer logs your order into the system and the priority will be no lower than 10 max (the lower priority order number the better). Ford "Corporate" can lower the priority at their discretion. My two cents is the SE hybrids are just coming into full production with some of the kinks in JOB1 worked, hence why some owners of newer hybrids are consistenly blogging they are getting 40+ mpg compared to those that received the every first batch of '13 FFHs. Here in the next month or so the titanium hybrid trims will start rolling into full production as well. To give you a snapshot of my situation I ordered a SE Hybrid (505A) on 11/21/12 and it was built on 02/20/13 (and that's with a priorty #5). I still have about three weeks or so until the key are in my hand. With any luck Ford will have these Titanium hybrids built right the first time.

Go to truecar .com and look it up there, you can get an idea from that site on what to negotiate it at. Another way it so join something where you can get an X plan. Most of those require a 6 month waiting period before you can get a PIN, but with the delays it may be that long before you can buy one.

Cars.com is also a good place to look. I am getting a fully loaded titanium hybrid for about 35,000 plus TT&L. Minus any rebates that may exist at the time. Mine is thru X-plan, so your case may be a little different.

 

You can build the car you want and save the configuration on cars.com
