Driving around the Grande Prairie area today, country roads 40-50 MPH and some gravel roads at about 30 MPH and some city at 30-35 MPH. I started with a cold ICE and a pretty low SOC on the battery. The trip also ended with a pretty low SOC on the battery. The outside temp is in the 80s and the car had been siting in the sun so the ICE warmed up quickly once it came on.

First day back in the office looks like I still have it and it's a personal best for commute MPG. Didn't expect that good since I had to floor it getting on to the Freeway.

Nice numbers corncobs! I will see your 51.9 and raise another 3.5 to 55.4 lol.... Yep that's .1 mpg better that my previous best so I have set a new bar for myself lol...

I am going to try an experiment with this next tank of gas which I will be filling up tonight. I have been curious to see what the mpg would be if I drove my FFH like I drove my Civic so I am going to use the next tank to check it out.

You got nice numbers too!! Good luck with your experiment I bet you will go back the FFH driving style as soon you see the MPG numbers drop. ;-)

Wish I could post good one today. This weekends driving sucked for some reason, and the rain yesterday and this morning was even worse since I needed defrost on to keep the windshield from fogging. Dropped my overall .5 too just in the two days of lousy driving. Not sure if it was just me, the heat, or both, but about of all the trips, only one got 44, the rest barely got over 38. OUCH.

One the other hand, I did get 100% brake score finally going to work. The rain was a pain though, appears it affects this one just as bad as the 2010 was.

Car's breaking in nicely still. Was able to get 50 mpg this morning instead of my normal 42, but that's mostly because I was drafting behind a FedEx truck at 65 mph on the Beltway.

Doink!

Good day for you, not so much for me since too much stop-n-go traffic on the way home killed things (but the morning was 54.3 so that's good). When I started for home my average tank MPG was 55.2 over 465 miles, now it is 54.5 over 525 miles, and DTE is 140... tomorrow's round trip of 120 will take the tank to 645 miles, that DTE gremlin better not be lying to me (crossing fingers).

Just wanted to say that I am pleased to see so many 50+ reports coming in day after day. Especially from those that weren't experiencing those results during the cold winter months. It makes for a lot of "happy" customers.

And in a roundabout related way, yesterday I drove about 10 miles in 96 degree weather, ran the A/C, hit light after light, had one long overpass to climb, got to my destination and saw 37 MPG for the trip. Having not experienced trips below 40 MPG, my honest first thought was about those here who experienced mileage in the 30s with their new FFHs, despite knowing how best to drive a hybrid. Sometimes, its just the situation and the circumstances. This car doesn't like extreme cold, extreme hot, speedy driving or a driving rain. (Come to think of it, I don't either.)

On a happier note, my second leg of the trip described above, I achieved 56 MPG over those 9 miles.

Your average is killing mine Jeff. I only get 530ish a tank and you still have 140 miles to go! Jealous.

Happy to say, no rain this morning, but I did screw my braking but trying to make a light, didnt make it :(

I'll take the blue for the MPG way more than the blue for the brake score! LOL

The terrain I drive it probably the worst for most drivers, I have to cross over the highest point in McHenry county twice a day, it always feels like I am driving uphill. Getting these numbers is pretty dang good for my drive.

Couldn't agree more about blue brake score vs. blue MPG. I had one of those short notice traffic light yesterday; turned into a the lowest score ever 37%.

I also agree with the terrain where you drive really needs a hybrid wired mind to return such numbers.

Looks like my new high yesterday wasn't just spike I actually topped it this morning. Maybe the detailing job improved the drag coefficient ;-)

Well my last couple tanks have averaged out to just about 46-47 MPG overall. I'm getting 55-58 MPG going to work and 38-41 MPG coming back, neither of which I can really be disappointed with. Most of my driving (probably 29 of my 36 mile commute) is highway that I set eco-cruise at 65 and let it do its thing. Let me show you why there's such a big variation:

Took my wife to the airport this AM in the FFH. A total of 58 miles and 50.4 MPG. Some rural and some on 95.
