The pump stopped at like 11.54 gallons and I topped it off to exactly 11.83.

THAT ^^^^^ Even the "Here's the car doing what its supposed to do at 63 mph." picture is un-achievable for me - I only see instant MPGs that high if I'm going downhill. If the road is flat the car will be at 40 or slightly higher, but not anywhere close to 60 and it's definitely not sustainable ...

The instant at highway speeds is weird to me. It was bouncing around 40-45 and kept increasing to the 50 range and stayed there for half the trip but then I went over an overpass and it EV'd down the other side and I didn't notice cuz I was fiddling with the radio so it ate some battery then I built the battery back up and it was on hybrid mode again and it started out around 40 again and started building up again. No real change in elevation cept the overpass. I've not played with it much at interstate speeds but I seem to do okay in the 60-65mph range

Thats only 10 MPG under what the 13 Fusion was doing! Nearly twice the HP, seats 3 more people and looks like a box on wheels, yet gets really good MPG! I wonder what the 10 Fusion is sitting at now, I drove it last Friday and it was around 42.3, had dropped a bit from the cold temps. Wife has it a few more days before we can carpool again, but the Flex has me spoiled now with the PBS, and easy to use dash controls for the phone and radio, oh and the cooled seat is finally working correctly. BTW the AC was on auto during the entire time.

I think with a correct working FFH you would probably be the MPG leader on this forum or at least top 5.

I thought I have seen the same so I paid a bit more attention this morning. Just as Tom said it takes a while of constant driving but at 65 MPH I was able to see the same instant MPG. It stayed there for a little bit and would have a bit if it wouldn't have been for traffic.

I too have seen instant number like that cruising in the interstate. It does it more when the battery is close to full it seems.

So far lifetime on the Flex is at 20.9. I have this feeling it will hit 21 on the trip home. I am SO pleased with that car! My old one got 18.5, but I have this feeling that if I drove it like I drive now after having the 13 Fusion, it too could have been up near 20.

 

See what you guys are getting I feel like I need to challenge Y'all! Makes me want to bite the bullet on the HyTi more every time I see these! I can try to get higher in the Fusion I have now, but the conditions have to be perfect to get up near 50 in it.

 

But it IS possible!

Sorry that was a stupid joke; your are achieving such awesome MPGs in a 10' FFH rated lower than 13' FFH where you could anywhere near EPA for the most part.

I'm already on pot number two and I'm talking a 24oz pot; probably not healty

On 16 oz cup #4 right now. I have a Keurig on my desk and a container of Folgers Black Silk. MMMMMM Cant get enough of it. Later in the day I switch to Decaf Folgers Columbian. I got this ekobrew filter cup so I can use preground coffee, a lot less expensive than the K cups.

 

I get good MPG off each cup I brew! :)

Beating EPA right now and I'm still in the trial phase where mileage shouldn't be accounted for! Hope you all don't mind me posting mpg updates about my 2.0L Ecoboost Ti Fusion lol!

I have decided to take the back roads home from work every day. it makes sense and saves me money three ways.

1. It's two miles shorter so I save gas.

2. I get better mileage than taking the highways, so again, I save gas. See pictures.

3. I don't have to pass the tollway, so I save $1.25 every day

 

It's a consistent low stress drive thru some of the nicest neighborhoods in Houston.

It's really a no brainer. Not sure what took me this long to realize it.

 

Going to work I will still take the highway because it makes sense for various other reasons.

Fantastic! The city route really wins when it is shorter than the highway AND gets better gas mileage. And when the city route is shorter that helps to make up some of the time difference. Plus having a more relaxing drive is also a big plus.

Read it and weep my friends. All time new record for my morning commute. The wife has had the car all week and this was the first time we got to carpool. She tried but couldnt keep the average up where I had it.

So I decided to try the "Eco route" to work today. My normal route is usually 20ish miles and I get 44-45 mpg. Today's "Eco route" was 13 miles and I got 35 mpg. I used .1 gallon less fuel but I was somehow thinking the Eco would mean more mpg. Boooooo Eco route.

 

What's weird is, look at my EV miles compared to total miles, shouldn't I come out at a much much higher mpg rating?? Really strange. The only thing I can say is a majority of the trip was uphill, maybe that's what hurt my mpg.
