acdii Report post Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) The wife and I both came to the decision after looking at an MKT, that if Ford comes back on Wednesday saying they found nothing wrong with the car and return it, we will not be leaving the dealership in it. We found an MKT nearby and gave it a look so we know what we are getting. We liked it. There is a Cinnamon colored one in MN that fits the bill, has low miles and fits the budget. So depending on what they come up with on the Fusion, will make or break it. We shall see. I myself am 50/50 on this, part of me wishes they find the problem and fix it, and part of me hopes they dont. Weird I know, but thats how I feel. I love the car but hate the fact it is under performing. BTW note below, it dropped another tenth of a MPG. Edited February 9, 2013 by acdii

GrySql Report post Posted February 10, 2013 According to Fuelly the '10 MKT averages 16.4 mpg, you might as well get your F-150 back.Think very carefully here....
acdii Report post Posted February 10, 2013 We used to have a Flex SEL Ecoboost, and considered getting another one. I keep kicking myself for getting rid of the one we had, especially after today when it took two cars to get the horse food I normally got in the Flex. Our average on it was 18.5 MPG, and saw 27 on the interstate. It can also pull a 4500 pound trailer. The reason I am considering the MKT is the BLIS and Adaptive cruise that it has. It looks a lot different up close than it does in pictures. For about the same price of a Flex we can get better leather, a warranty to 50K, and a few features the Flex doesnt have, cooled seats front and rear, BLIS and ACC. I also would feel I wouldn't be giving anything up from the new Fusion. There is a nice red one that I found for 28K with 36K miles on it. Has everything I need in it. It also has a cooler in it. On the flip side I found an exact duplicate of the one we had, but has the tow package which mine didnt have, but has 76K miles on it, for under 20K. If the miles werent so high, that would be the one, but then again, the price would be higher too, there is one like what we had, same color and all but a Limited with Tow, for 27K, but has more miles on it than an MKT for the same price and color, miles are 46K.
