acdii Report post Posted February 8, 2013 I logged into the sync site, and it has a banner saying 3.5.1 update available, COOL, ok so I go to my updates page, run the sync checker, and, nope, no updates showing. WTH? I will see if they can try the update again when it goes in on Tuesday.

GrySql Report post Posted February 9, 2013 My car was delivered on 12/12/12 and it has 3.5.1, with Nav and the SD card. That update has been available for some time now.MSN's syncmyride website only works correctly with certain Web Browsers.A EV Certified Dealer is your best bet. GrySql Report post Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) When he looked it up it wasnt showing as available, and it isnt listed on syncmyride under my login even after doing a status check and successful install.Well, this next Tueday night is a good time to provide a list of warranty repair issues to the Service Department.I can't imagine a specially sent Ford Engineer cannot bring all your car's Firmware/software up to date, if asked. One would hope that they want your car to work properly when it's returned to you, in all respects. The optimal situation for them is that they never see you again, except for routine maintenance.Best of luck! BTW, I am changing my local Dealer to one that is a few miles further away, simply because the one I used first was not EV Certified, they tried but really were struggling with this 'new' car. When the Service Writer opened the hood and said, "Wow, never seen one of these before" was my first clue.I bought my car thru a 3rd party using my Credit Union so I have to find the best local agency to service it.I'm learning. acdii Report post Posted February 9, 2013 I have been searching for certified EV dealers that can work on this car, and who know what they are doing, but no such luck.

I am knowledge and I have the Internet, when will they learn they can't BS people anymore? It will never stop. It started from when Satan BS'd Eve way back when! I really didn't have a great dealership experience buying my FFH but I do hope that I can find a decent dealer to look after my FFH. One can only hope! 1 acdii reacted to this
Wildcat2xx5 Report post Posted March 25, 2013 they just called and read verbatim off their screen, "no upgrades, yadda yadda yadda..." I guess i have to wait for Ford to send the upgrade to hybrid, electric, and plug in owners in the first quarter?

I guess i have to wait for Ford to send the upgrade to hybrid, electric, and plug in owners in the first quarter?Pretty much. Only a handful of dealers are willing to spend the time off warranty to do it. If its not available, Ford can deny the warranty claim, and then the service doesnt get reimbursed for the time or the card.

JSKershaw Report post Posted April 4, 2013 (edited) Try using the Status Checker tool to update the site. It may help. Take a look at this image.https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14254398/SYNC%20Owner%20%20%20Update%20%20%20Customize.png My dealership updated my version of sync back in Feb when I took delivery, but the SyncMyRide never showed my version of Sync until I ran the Status Update tool. It took 30 secs to do and now the site is showing my system with 3.5.1 and the download link it also showing for the 3.5.1 update. Perhaps by using the Tool it will update the site to allow you to download the 3.5.1 update. All you will need after the update is the A4 card from the dealership. SoCalFusion Report post Posted April 21, 2013 Tried it, same results. Hi Acdii, I am new to the forums here. My wife and I purchased our Ford Fusion 2013 Hybrid back in the beginning of October. I have version 3.2.2 when I checked my status checker too, however reading it sounds like 3.5.1 is out. I have been to the dealer and they too are telling me no update is available for our car. It has Ford My Touch with the navigation, etc. Sounds like we are in the same boat. Did you or anyone else get anywhere with this? Is there someone at Ford directly we can reach out to? Thanks!-SoCalFusion

SoCalFusion Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Try Rebecca @ Ford on Facebook. Thanks neod192! I send her a message. How is the software version 3.5.1, does it fix a lot of the issues I have seen with 3.2.2 with regards to iPhone, freezing, and crashes?
acdii Report post Posted April 22, 2013 I have 3.5.1 in the Flex now, and it is much smoother than the 3.2 that was in the Fusion. Other than the Hybrid screen they are identical between the Flex and Fusion. In fact if you were to look at the dash and MFt on a gas Fusion and the Flex, they are both the same. How is the software version 3.5.1, does it fix a lot of the issues I have seen with 3.2.2 with regards to iPhone, freezing, and crashes? I've only had 3.5.1 on mine, so haven't had the pleasure to experience 3.2.2 :) 3.5.1 seems pretty stable, it only crashed twice while I spent the whole day playing with it and pushing all the buttons! I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm pretty happy with it.Great! I reached out to Rebecca at Ford on Facebook and she said that the 3.5.1 for the Fusion Hybrid was released this morning (4/22) for anyone else wondering. I don't know if this was for my area (California) or for cars that came with 3.2.2 since some of you already have it. Anyway, my Fusion is already at the ford dealer right now getting some work done, so I called and they said they would take care of it while its there and replace the A4 chip, etc. I really hope this is the last time it goes in for nothing but routine service! I had 2 paint bubbles and an area that the clear coat was over sprayed that had to be buffed out, and a scrach they put on the car by accident. It has also been in for a headlight and gear shift recall! Lesson learned, don't be the first :P, what a headache! (I got mine back in beginning of October, first off the truck). Love the car though! 1 acdii reacted to this

Still have 3.2.2 and getting occasional issues with it recognising a USB thumb drive. Hope 3.5.1 fixes this.
DeeCee Report post Posted April 25, 2013 Got a call from my service manager yesterday saying the 3.5.1. update has now been authorized for my car. I will be taking it in to them next week to get it updated.
RedLdr1 Report post Posted April 25, 2013 My dealership called on Tuesday to let me know 3.5.1 was authorized so I dropped our FFH off yesterday morning. Installing 3.5.1 over 3.2.2 caused a hard failure in the Sync PCIM module which now needs replaced. So I have a loaner 2012 Fusion while they work with Ford Tech Support to get my FFH working. I'm not worried about it, I have a nice loaner and my dealerships service department is very good. But the one to three hours that loading 3.5.1 is supposed to take is going to be one to three days I suspect. I'm glad I didn't try this one at home.... ;) 1 acdii reacted to this
